We're headed down to Disney/Universal in a few days. My kids are 8 months old and a tall 3.5 year old who wants to go on rides like TOT. Here's our plan:
Sunday: MGM
Monday: Epcot - skip world showcase. If finish Epcot early, head to MK.
Tuesday: EMH Epcot, quickly head over to MK after that
Wednesday: Off day, switch hotels, swim in the pools, do laundry, etc
Thursday: IOI/US
Friday:????????

We have park hopper, never expires tickets and enough days for any park on Friday. What should we plan for Friday? Of course, we can always change it. But right now it's a big question mark. We do not want to go to AK or Sea World. We went to both just 6 months ago and DS liked the other parks better. We never made it to MGM at our last visit. Also, we didn't get to see much of IOI/US last time due to the crowds. (DH and I have seen a lot of all the parks, it's more about planning for the 3.5 year old since the baby is just along for the ride!)

On Friday I would do Magic Kingdom for the day..Or like Do magic Kingdom in the morning and then switch to Epcot or MGM after you get tired of Magic Kingdom perhaps?

IMHO--I would spend a whole dya at Magic Kingdom but it depends on your taste!

Have fun!

.MK all day

I would do another day of US/IOA and hit the things you missed the day before. From the info you gave I am assuming you will be staying near/on WDW property and doing Disney, then moving over to US/IOA area and staying there a few nights to do those attractions?
Why no WS on your Epcot days? Our kids have always loved the WS and the kidcot stations. Also we have seen so many characters there. Has your 3.5 year old ridden anything like ToT? I'm a big chicken and can't handle it myself! :rotfl: Also you could probably do MGM half a day and get in some time at MK.

Yes, we're staying at the Dolphin and then moving to the Royal Pacific.
The 3 year old isn't that into characters. He thinks they're funny and likes to see them, but he knows they're costumes. And makes sure everyone around him knows it too.
The world showcase seems like a lot of walking with little that my son will want to do. He's not going to want to do a craft project when there are rides to go on. He's never done TOT but has seen the pictures and wants to do it. (We're not holding him to it. DH doesn't want to let him do it. I think it's fine if he wants to). He has done roller coasters that had air time and loved them. He also loved both the haunted mansion at WDW and a haunted ride at a non-Disney park. The most intense ride he did on our last trip was Spiderman. (I realize this is IOI, but it was definately the most instense ride for him!) He got mad at both Carowinds and the fair when he was too short to go on some rides.

*I didn't know MGM could just be a half day. I've been worried that it will be too crowded since it's a Sunday. That's good to know it could be a short day - meaning we can get there early and zip through some things!

Edited to add: I forgot - we want to stay at MGM all day so we can see the lights. I think they start at 6pm. We haven't decided yet if we're staying for Fantasmic. We would like to but both of the kids generally sleep from 7:30pm-6:30am, so we'll see how long they last. DS doesn't nap at all no matter what.

I think it depends on how much time and how many things you actually get done at both MK and Universal. It sounds like your little guy is all about the thrill rides (I'm a little embarrassed that a 3 year old is excited to do rides that I have almost wimped out on!), and if that is the case he will probably have more fun at Universal. Since you'll be in that area, makes sense to me to spend Friday at Universal. Hope you have an awesome trip!

Do you not want to go to Animal Kingdom? That is what seems to be missing from your itinerary. If not that, I'd go back to MK for that day! I like to go back to the MK on my last day in WDW. :sunny:
