We will be in the World for 3 nights/4 days (8/24-27) after our cruise. We want to visit all 4 parks but I really don't know what type of itinerary will work. I was thinking of getting 2 day parkhoppers. My questions are:

1) Is rope drop necessary for this time of the yr?
2) What type of itinerary would you suggest (which park 1st/2nd)?
3) How do you schedule the fastpasses with parkhoppers?

Thanks so much:)

1: For us, rope drop is necessary regardless of when we travel. The first couple of hours are priceless when it comes to being able to get a lot done.

2: Take a look at EasyWDW's August crowd calendar (http://www.easywdw.com/category/calendar/08-august-2015-crowd-calendar/). Josh lists the best park(s) for each day as well as the ones to avoid. We've followed his calendars for years and haven't been steered wrong yet.

3: How you schedule is up to you and you can only schedule for one park at a time. So, if we're going to Animal Kingdom in the morning then hopping to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon, I schedule our FP+ for MK as we took advantage of rope drop at AK. You could schedule them for your morning park, and then once you hop to your next park schedule your 4th one there. Only 3 can be booked in advance and all need to be within the same park.

We usually do AK on an EMH morning, then hop to HS for the evening and see everything we want to with time to spare. We use our FP's for the park we hop to in the evening, which should work well for this time of year for you.

We always do rope drop, especially for MK. Our trips are in September and, even though it's traditionally a 'slow' time, you can get so much done within the first two hours that you reall ydon't need to schedule any FP's (unless it's for the Mine Train or A&E).
