We are now 19 days away from our 3rd trip to the World! :)

We (DH, me, DS(14), DS(11), DD(9), and my mother (59) are all "commando" type tourers. I offered my kids a more relaxed trip this time, since we've seen most everything during our prior two trips - but they don't want to miss a thing! This is our plan - what do you think? We will have UPH's from Saturday, March 19-Friday, March 26.

Saturday - arrive @ 9:00, check into Pop. Go to Typhoon Lagoon for water fun & relaxation (we're driving from Indiana!). Go to AK for 4:00 parade and safari (maybe a few other attractions before they close at 6:00). Leave AK at 6:00, back to Pop for dinner and exploring resort.

Sunday - EMH at MK!! All day - view both parades and Wishes, also!

Monday - TL again or Blizzard Beach 'til 3:00. Change at resort, and then to DisneyQuest. Dinner at Planet Hollywood (coupon g/c), more DisneyQuest and shopping!

Tuesday - EMH at MGM! PS at Sci Fi for lunch, stay all day and watch 2nd Fantasmic!

Wednesday - Animal Kingdom 'til about 12:00, maybe on to DisneyQuest again (I think my kids will love this place!), and Hoop De Doo at 7:15!

Thursday - EPCOT all day ... maybe schedule ice cream social? (we did this last time and really liked it!), we don't really "get" Illuminations, so we won't be staying for it!

Friday - Our choice day! Go back and explore our favorite rides, or anything we've missed!

I know this is probably pretty aggressive ... but what do you think? I tried to not have EMH days in a row, but we really didn't have a problem getting up and out early on our previous two trips? Any tips or suggestions are really welcomed!! Thanks!

One thing you might consider is not staying all day in an EMH park, as the crowds tend to get really heavy around mid-day. When the crowds build, try hopping to the park that had EMH the day before. We used this strategy in June and it seemed to work really well.

I agree with HunnyPots. I think I'd consider swapping Sunday and Tuesday afternoons if you want to keep it simple. After lunchtime at MK on Sunday, hop over to MGM, and after lunch at Sci Fi on Tuesday, just hop over to MK.

Otherwise it looks great! I don't think my family could keep up that pace, but you obviously know that you can do it, so Go Have Some Fun!

P.S. My boys are 9 and 10 and they really loved Disney Quest, so it's good that you allowed time to go more than once!

You are driving all night Friday, and arriving at 9:00am Sat, correct? Even with three drivers you are going to be tired when you arrive - do you have rooms reserved for Friday night, otherwise I don't think it very likely you can check-in at 9:00. I'm not sure how restfull the waterpark will be.

With your combination of 3 adults for 3 children, and UPHs you have a lot of flexibility, everyone would not have to stick to your "official" schedule except for PS meals. You can play it by ear - coming and go as it pleases groups of 2 or 3.

Have a nice trip.

Reading your post, I would have said exactly what jcemom said. We never stay at the EMH park all day, it gets too crowded!

jl3614,

We are planning on staying outside of Orlando on Friday night. We will drive until we are about 2 hours outside of Orlando, get a room, and then drive to Pop on Saturday morning - hopefully somewhat rested and ready to go! I really appreciate everyone's comments - anymore??

I will definately look into switching off EMH parks in the afternoon. My only concern is we wanted to do the 2nd Fantasmic on Tuesday night at MGM (it's the only night they have 2 Fantasmic's and it's the EMH day!). But we will definately keep our options open!

Keep those thoughts and suggestions coming, please!

Well, that seems like a good reason to be there. Maybe just try to do everything at the top of your list in the morning, so you don't have to worry about missing anything if it's too crowded in the afternoon. Ditto with MK. You do have Friday open and that's great because if you do miss anything you can always go back!
