Does any one have any type of itinerary or suggestions for USH? We (me, dd18, ds12) will be going for 5 days the last week of Sept. We like all rides & coasters if that helps. TIA!

The book, "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2009" by Bob Sehlinger, has a one day touring plan. This book is excellent.

Not a state secret, but still holds for every theme park in this galaxy:
Get there early, especially if you need to buy tickets.

USH can be done in a day. Visitors may want to eat or shop at CityWalk, so the sooner you can finish in the park, the better.

USH has two levels. You absolutely, positively, do not want to go down to the lower level more than once. If you've seen longer escalators, call Guiness.

My experience at USH produce this suggested order:

1) Simpsons
2) tram tour
3) lower lever (Jurassic Park, Revenge of the Mummy, etc.)
4) back to upper level

I 2nd the tip about going on down to the 2nd level only once. Those escalators are insane! Wow!

We hit the back lot tour first, then Simpsons before going down to the lower level. Saw everything there, had a bite to eat then tackled the main level. It was a great day. The kids had a blast. The Simpsons ride is amazing!! Have fun!

I wait for the Tram ride till later - the lines are longest in the morning. So for me:
Get there at opening
1. Simpsons ( maybe 2x - great ride)
2. go down to the 2nd level - everyone else starts at the top to do:
jurassic park & mummy & shows down there
3. then go up and do the tram.

Had an AP last year - tried a couple of varieties before settling on this as the best plan.

Did you say 5 days at Universal??? This park is MUCH smaller than Florida's. You can do everything in 1 day - or at worst 1.5 days.

I know!!! I didn't know about the 2 levels!!!! Went for first time last Tuesday weather was terrible really heavy heavy rain all day. We did the tour first as that's what the map said we joined queue at 10:05 and got on tram at 11:35 think there was problem with it. I was so unimpressed with universal, done Orlando hundreds of times, but Hollywood was so unorganised. Showng 10 min wait for simpsons there was not single person waiting but still took 45 min to get in. The behind the scenes show was great though. The guy kevin was hilarious!!definetly can do it all in a day.
