Itinerary change Disney Magic 11/13

When my cruise was changed to have two stops at CC, they switch the day at sea from Thursday to Tuesday. Some time later that day, they moved our Palo brunch reservation automatically to the new sea day.

We just booked this cruise, so there were no brunches available, I guess someone canceled the cruise, I was able to get one yesterday.
We are platinum so we can usually get what we want at 120 days, booking late makes it harder. We have gotten the cabanas on the smaller ships at 120 days, never on the bigger ships. I usually get on a waitlist for a cabana when we board if we can't get one at 120. We have gotten one that way several times.

65% of the voters of Key West voted for the ship restrictions and the KW city council is working on making them happen despite state activity. DCL needs to get other berths now, else they face having to change last minute when many ports are also restricting number of ships in port on any given day.

I'm sure the shop owners are not happy about this.
We love Key West, its a 4 hour drive for us and its a long drive. I much preferred arriving on a cruise ship.

This is our cruise. I really wanted KW. Doesn't surprise me as KW doesn't want cruise ships. Even though (last I heard) the courts said individual ports couldn't dictate who can dock. Disney trying to keep up the good PR.

However, back in the day we paid to do a 5 night double dip. I see this as no different. Like they say...if you wait long enough history repeats itself. I noticed in our Facebook group a few families have cancelled or moved this cruise. We are sailing.

I wondered if people would cancel. But double dips are usually more expensive, so there's that, LOL
We are sailing too. I just want to get on the ship again!

We've been booked on this cruise for a year and final payments are right around the corner. I keep going back and forth on whether to go because of covid in Florida. KW was one of the reasons we decided to pick this one but, quite frankly, a second CC day sounds safer to me. This change might actually push me to go on the cruise.

Some, but many merchants were in favor. Cruisers flooded the city and per capita did not spend very much. Despite having no cruise ships since March 2020, Key West is doing okay financially.
