We are going June 24-June 30 with Me, DH, DD15 and DS11. We can't decide what parks on which days. 2 days~ MK,
1 day~ Epcot, AK, MGM(Plus 1st night),TL/DTD(DQ)

Friday~ 10:45 flight
Check in to AKL around 2ish
Rush to MGM for 4:20 PS@ 50's PT and watch fantasmic(9:00) and go to any attractions if time allows.
Saturday~ MK or Epcot or MGM
Sunday~ AK or Epcot or MK
Monday~ MGM or AK or TL/DTD
Tuesday~ Epcot or MK or TL/DTD
Wednesday~ MGM or Epcot or AK
Thursday~ MK or AK or MGM

I don't know what parks are busy on which days and we have a car if that makes any difference. We PLAN on getting to the parks at opening(but thats not a promise :rotfl: ) and maybe taking a break. We are not sure yet. :confused3 No EMH morning or evening. We have a 7 day MYW with hopper and pluses(Water,DQ)! Any Suggestion would be greatly appreaciated!!! Less than a month :cloud9: ( my counter is counting days!!!!! )

Sorry...I'm no help...I came here to see what other people had to tell you!! :goodvibes
All I know is that we will be taking lots of 'breaks' during the day as our youngest will be <2yrs old! :earboy2:

Hi Buzzriders- some random thoughts and questions:

1) What time does your flight arrive? I might have a little concern about about a 4:20 at MGM--maybe not, but if you have to pick up a rental car, drive to the property, check-in, and drive to MGM that could take more than 2 hours and 20 minutes.

2) Stay out of MK on Saturday.

3) I believe you'll find a best days charts at allearsnet.com That will help you plan which parks/which days. Also check for EMH days and times--if you can't get up early, you might want to try the evening EMH opps. Your kids will probably do better staying out late than you and DH will ;)

Our flight actually takes off at 11:26. It keeps changing. It started off at 3:45 and now my DS11 has to miss his last day of Intermedite school. :sad2: The plane should land around 1:30 but I'm not sure the offical time. We should check in to AKL around 2:45-3:00. WE just have to get our luggage into our room and then we can leave right away to get to MGM. :moped: We will have a car so we won't have to worry about getting a bus. We are going to MGM on Friday and on Saturday our two choices are Epcot and MGM. Should we go to MGM two days in a row, go to Epcot or risk going to MK on a saturday but starting our vacation off with MK? (will have 2 days at MK) I don't remember what days and what parks we have gone to in the past but it always seemed to work out. OR..... Should we just wake up every morning and pick then and make it a surprise and fit our mood of the day????? :confused3 Please help us we want this to be our bast vacation yet!!! :cloud9:  :Pinkbounc

I think I would suggest skipping MK on a saturday as well and do Epcot
If you arent going to do EMHs, I would suggest working your itinerary around that-go to the parks that are not having emhs-skip MK on the weekend. Put TL/DTD in the middle of the trip for a break from the parks.
Hope that helps a bit.
:)

Definitely skip MK on the weekend. Plan on some downtime, whether this is spending time by the pool or shopping at DTD. A day at a waterpark is a lot of fun, and it's very refreshing, it's going to be hot! I was at WDW last year the last week in June. I'm not usually a waterpark person, but DH wanted to go when his parents, sister, niece and nephew were going. It was a lot of fun, and a nice break from the parks.

Also, have you made any other PS for meals? If you plan on doing any sit-down meals, I recommend making the PS. I always suggest a character meal, my favorite is breakfast at Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) or Crystal Palace (MK)

Have fun!

Thanks!!! This is what we have so far.......

Friday~ Arrive at AKL around 2:45- 3:00
Check out our room and RUSH to MGM for PS @ 50's Primetime at 4:20 watch fantasmic at 9:00 and maybe the parade at 5:00 and go on any attractions it there is time

Saturday~ Epcot
Sunday~ AK
Monday~ TL/DTD(DQ)
Tuesday~ MK
Wednesday~ MGM
Thursday~ MK

I have another question! On Friday we will still be at AKL because we don't have a flight but we will be driving down to a friends houselater in the afternoon. If we still have pluses on our tickets can we use them eventhough we don't have any days left on them? We might go to DQ again or BB. :confused3 How does out Itinerary sound? Do tou think it will be less crowded on the days I picked? ALso what it one of the websites that tell what the crowd level is on a particlar day? Thanks! Any suggestions still appreicated!!

:) Hi Buzzriders, we'll be there the same time as you pretty much (June 25th-July 1st for us). So far this is what our itinerary looks like:

Saturday- drive down, check in at ASSP at 3 or 4 and then DTD
Sunday- Epcot- Illuminations
Monday- Epcot, 5:00 PS for Chef Mickey's, lounge at the hotel
Tuesday-MK-Wishes
Wednesday-MK, 5:00 PS for LTT
Thursday-MGM, 4:30 PS for H&V, Fantasmic
Friday- drive home

We are skipping AK this trip. DS6 and I both have severe asthma and by 3:00 the heat and humidity were too much for us to take. :sad2: We are giving it another try at a cooler time of the year. It was beatiful from what I saw.

We usually get there at opening and bow out around 9 or 10. We take lots of drink and rest breaks and still manage to get most of it in. The crowd levels are going to be pretty big no matter what day you choose as people get out of school so early here in the South. Getting there early is the key. Last Summer we went in mid-July and never waited more than 20 minutes for anything. We hit all the "big" rides first thing and then ate early so that while everyone was off having their lunch, we were riding with no wait.

I would do Epcot Saturday, AK Sunday, TL/DTD Monday, MK Tuesday, MGM Wednsday and MK Thursday because MK is not good on the weekends.

HAve a wonderful trip,
Charity

You said that you have a car so "don't need to worry about busses", Big mistake! You are staying at a lux resort and buses will be frequent. If you take a car you have to find your way, on main roads, to the park, then find parking, take the tram or worse walk to the gate...A huge hassle. by the time you do all that I could be on my first ride! Don't do it! Take Disney Transport. this will also make going from one park to another much easier and you won't have to worry about where your car is at the end of the day...Let the car rest.

Any other suggestions! I like to write them all down then have a family vote. It is the only way to do it without fighting. :rotfl: We have to rent a car because we are going to visit friends who live about 2hr south and we are going to universal July1-July 4 and staying at PBR. :moped: I also got a really good deal!!! Any one else out there that can can help me???

MYW tickets expire 14 days from first use; since you are on day 8 of that 14 day window, I don't think it would be a problem.

I'm not saying "don't rent the car" I'm just suggesting not to use it at Disney. Thier transportation to get within the grounds is great (and much more fun!) and a lot less hassle.
