Items delivered to room before arrival?

I would like to have a few things delivered to our room before we arrive...for DS from Mickey. How do I go about doing this? I see that Gifts of a Lifetime will deliver to the resort, but how do I get it into the room before we arrive? Thanks!!

From previous experience the Disney resorts will not let gifts/baskets etc be delivered to your room before arrival.

They will only deliver to the room after you have checked in. This is to avoid any problems if your room allocation is changed for any reason. A good time to have baskets delivered is not on arrival day, but on your first full day, while you are out at the parks.

I checked with Gifts of a Lifetime, Disney Florist, and two other places, all said the same thing. Baskets/gifts/balloons etc cannot be delivered to the room until after check in. The company does not actually deliver it to the room, they deliver to the resort, and then a CM will deliver to your room.

I agree with above poster...

We stayed at the Poly, and when we went in our room, the man that brought our luggage was showing dh something, or dh was giving him a tip, and DD saw the autograph book, she got so excited, then realized the previous people had left it, she gave it to the CM, and he thought she wanted his autograph (I thought it was cute, he turned red when Ihad to explain!!) DD was looking for magic,and I was so glad I had called Disney Florist before we left for our magical vacation!!

We went in August, I ordered from Disney Florist, and we checked in, then took a walk thru the resort, and oh yeah, then we went to the Magic Kingdom, when we returned, the room had flowers, and a special bag with lots of surprises!!

I said, look Magic!!

DD 8 was just thrilled, and still talks about the magic!!

Until you have checked in your room could be given to someone else. They could be enjoying your surprise. Just have the gifts delivered to the resort. Then make some excuse to your party and go put the gifts in the room.
