Item Missing from Room?

DD had four heartless huntsman chests in her room -- one of each color: yellow, green, purple and blue. When she went into her room tonight the blue chest was gone. She checked her other rooms and her inventory and it's not there either. She's sure she didn't trade it or sell it back.

Is it possible for a furnishing to be stolen? Or just lost from the game?

Yes, it's more than possible. I've had a number of items disappear from my inventory, and when I wrote to contact us I was told first it was still in my inventory, then when I corrected them that it was not, was told it was traded, when I knew it was not traded. It has happened to me more than once, that was just an example of my missing pirate quest stool. The post was still there....

That is a very generous offer. She has been trying to trade for one, but hasn't had any luck. She will be thrilled! She's offline for the night, but I'll see if we can meet up tomorrow or Sunday.

Of course I replaced the blue one for her.

Thanks to everyone for the info that disappearing items (unfortunately) is something that can happen. Luckily this time it was not something valuable.

I can't begin to count the number of times inventory has been missing over these almost 3 years!

However, almost every piece has shown back up within 2 weeks, back where it came from. Very weird.. but then this IS vmk!

I am glad to read this. Our DD was missing something from her room a few days ago. (Can't remember the item off hand) She was insistent she had not sold it and I'll admit at first I did not believe her. But she kept insisting until I truly believed something was gone. Perhaps this confirms it.

I've been playing vmk for over 2 years and I too have had things go missing from my inventory, but during the Ned 1/2 off sale, I bought some items with one of my mules and was trading it over, when suddenly I saw all 6 palm trees disappear before my eyes. Those Indian givers.. grrrrrrrrrrr

Theres these candlesticks in my inventory.

When im trading, and im cliking, all of a sudden, one will disappear, and the things Im clicking on will be something else because the box moved.

THEN It comes BACk and im clicking on the wrong item again.
It really is quite annoying

Of course it's good to know the items sometimes come back.

I think I've seen an item flit in and out of my trade window! I thought it was my imagination. Yet another glitch to watch for.

As I said, this was an inexpensive buyable. I can't imagine the reaction if someone "lost" a really rare item.

its not a very common occurance however. I have never noticed it happening to me for instance, but I do believe their stories, there have been many many complaints of it happening.
