Itchin' For Some Fun...12/10/09 - 12/14/09...Finished 3/17

Oh what wonderful pictures. I felt like I was reliving Beauty and The Beast. :goodvibes

We road Great Movie Ride. I didn't see a preshow. Was there not one because it was walk on when we went?>

Can't wait to read more.

Hi Denise. I am joining in late but all caught up now. I am enjoying the report so far. I love seeing pictures with the holiday decorations. I am definitely looking forward to hearing about MVMCP and seeing pictures. I never knew they had a Peace on Earth finale to Illuminations this time of year. I would love to see that someday. For now, I'll have to live vicariously through your report.

I love B&TB show!...I may be a bit biased though: I know ever word to the movie too :rotfl:

Great pictures of the GMR and B&B! My daughter really enjoyed the show last time we went. Somehow though, all my pictures turned out really bad.

GMR is a super attraction, but I think needs a well-earned "spiff up". Just seems kinda dusty in there. Nevertheless, I'll still go back and enjoy it until that happens.

Such a fun day at the Studios so far! Between the thrill of ToT and the romance of BATB it sounds like you're having a great time!

Isn't the Beauty and the Beast show just wonderful? I have such fond memories of that stretching all the way back to the early 1990's!

It was so good! I enjoyed it so much!

I can't believe how much you accomplished before lunch. Way to go!

It's amazing how much you can get done when you're not dragging three balls-and-chains around! :rotfl2:

The Beauty and the Beast show looks wonderful. I have never seen it. This will definitely be at the top of the list for April!

Definitely do it! It was really good!

I've never gotten to see the Beauty and the Beast show. I just can't seem to get the boys interested! :confused3:rotfl:

You have to bribe them into doing it this year. :rolleyes1 You'll love it!

Your Tigger picture looks great. Where is it now? Didn't know if you framed it, maybe.

We definitely kept them, but haven't decided how to display them. :confused3

But then I'm a show girl at heart. I'm always tapping my foot and holding myself down in my seat to fight off my urges to get on up and dance with them.

Me, too! I was so glad the kids weren't there to get embarrassed at how I was singing along and dancing in my seat! :rotfl2:

Awww I loved the Animation Studio and I look forward to drawing another character...should be a lot of fun!!

This was the first time we even entered the Animation Studio, and we were amazed at how much was in there!

Good job on the Tigger drawing...it's amazing how two people can follow the same instructions but have pretty different results. My mom and I actually had that same instructor and he was very good!

Thanks! It was really fun and a nice break in the day.

I love the great movie ride and BaTB!! We still have yet to get to do the drawing class. I think both of your Tiggers look good!

Thanks! We really enjoyed The Great Movie Ride and had fun doing the drawing!

Nice update! The Beauty and the Beast pics are great! You both did really well in the art class! :thumbsup2 Very impressive!

Thanks! It was a great day; lots of fun!

Yay! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite!! :goodvibes

I've never seen Festival of the Lion King, so I can't compare it to that, but it really was an awesome show!

I am loving your report! I hope that I see the Up characters when we go in March!

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you get to see them, too!

Yeah, we just walked right through the pre-show area and I grabbed a picture real quick as we walked. Usually you are standing in the maze of lines and they have movie clips playing.

I'm so glad you came over to read! I can't wait to tell you all about MVMCP!!! :goodvibes

This was our first time seeing it, so we didn't have anything to compare it to, but I can see why people would say that.

It really had been a great day. It was so nice to just be together!

When I left off, we were on our way to lunch. I really wanted to eat at Pizza Planet, so that’s where we headed. We had gone here on our 2007 trip on our last day. However, we had eaten breakfast at Ohana and were trying to use up CS credits. No one was really hungry and we just picked at our food. So I was looking forward to trying it for the first “real” time.

We both got the veggie pizza meal that came with mixed green salads. I got mine with Italian dressing and Tom got Ranch. Our drinks were regular Coke for me and Diet Coke for Tom. I got a Mickey rice krispie treat and Tom chose a bag of chips for later.

It wasn’t very crowded inside, but we chose a table outside since the weather was so nice. I don’t know if it was because we were both starving, but that meal was so good! I think we both licked our plates clean! It would have been $29.34, but we used 2 CS credits.

As we ate, we discussed how we were going to approach the rest of the day. It was already 1:30pm, and we wanted to do Fantasmic at 6:30pm. So if we were going to take a mid-day break, it would have to be right now. But the more we talked, we realized that if we were going to be in line for Fantasmic by 5:30pm, it really didn’t make a whole lot of sense to go back to the resort for what would end up being maybe an hour. So we sat back and lingered a little longer over lunch and just enjoyed some people watching.

After we cleared our table, our next order of business was Muppet Vision 3D. This would be the first time I had gotten to see it the whole way through, so I was excited. What do I mean by seeing it the whole way through. Well, back in 2004 we had just gotten seated and the show had started when DS15 (9 at the time) decided that he needed to throw up. Thankfully we were on the end of the row and could make a hasty exit. In 2007 he didn’t want to go near Muppet Vision (I wonder why…), so this was my first time.

On the way over, we stopped at a kiosk to look at some of the items. DD11 has some of the Disney babies that are wrapped in blankets, and when I saw these I thought of her. They are so cute!

We continued over to the entrance, and a show must have just started because there was no body around. We just kind of hung around until we saw some people gathering near the turnstiles and then we got in line. After they let us in to the preshow area, I had fun looking at all the props.

The preshow started and I thought it was really cute. I can see why people think it need refurbed, but since it was my first time I didn’t mind. The doors opened and we entered. The CMs were directing everyone to continue to the end of the row and not stop in the center, so we strategically hung back so that we could be in the center of row. We both really enjoyed the show!

After we exited we stopped into a nearby gift shop to browse. The only thing I wanted for my souvenir was a new hoodie, but it had to zip up (not be a pullover). I was really excited to find one hear that I loved. Tom also chose a stuffed Fozzy Bear. I had the package sent to the front of the park to pick up when we left.

The back of the sweatshirt.

As we were leaving, we saw the Christmas store and popped in to check out the ornaments.

I didn’t see anything I liked, so we left and wandered around a bit more. I saw this and thought it was really pretty.

Up next...how do we spend the rest of our afternoon?

Love the hoodie! I didn't notice that one when I was there.

My Dh would have voted to go back to the hotel room to rest. To get him to Disney I had to bribe him with the promise of a rest each afternoon.

Amazing how much money the dinning plan saves isn't it? I'm not sure we're getting it on our next trip and I'm scared. We're going for a dance competition so we've got a team rate at the hotel. The team rate is great but you can't get the dinning plan with it. You've reminded me again of how great the dinning plan is. I've got some numbers to go crunch to figure out what I'm doing now.

Plus I have some cinnamon bun pictures to load. You inspired me.

Pizza Planet is always a fun place to eat. :thumbsup2

The Muppets always make me laugh -- I love bad puns and plays on words! My absolute favorite part of the preshow is when Rizzo comes out dressed as Mickey Mouse. It cracks me up every single time!

Love the hoodie! I think it's about time I get a Disney hoodie -- especially seeing how cold it has been lately.

Here are my cinnamon bun pictures. I used a recipe from the CDkitchen website you had mentioned.

I goofed my first attempt up. I added way too much sugar to the yeast so I had to start again.

My second attempt actually yielded cinnamon buns. They weren't too bad. Here is a picture of them with some icing on them. I didn't make enough icing nor did I coat them in enough butter, and brown sugar.

On my third attempt (three days later) I hit gold. I made the most perfect cinnabon imitation cinnamon buns that I think I'm going to retire my skills. I couldn't possibly perfect it further so I might just let the legend live on. I didn't take a picture of them with icing because there was nothing to see but icing. It was that thick.

Hey there,
I am up to page 10 of your TR and enjoying it and all the pictures. I didn't know that we could monsters with our snack credits until our last night there, I am all about java Monsters.
Your trip sounds so far like it was pretty relaxing, just kind of going with the flow of it.
when I first started reading and youposted signs on the way to the airport I was like, I know that place, and yeah duh, it's whereI flew out of on my trip. and your room was on the opposit side of my room, we were so mega close to eachother while at pop, If I had stepped around to the back of the building I was in I would have been at your room. Maybe we passed eachother at some point.
anyway, I'm subbing

Nice update! I really like your hoodie! I love Chip and Dale in the monorail :goodvibes Nice pics of the waiting area at Muppetvision!
