Itchin' For Some Fun...12/10/09 - 12/14/09...Finished 3/17

That Monster looks so scary! I had too much red bull one time while trying to study, like two huge cans. My whole body started to shake a few hours later and my heart was beating so fast I actually considered having my roommate take me to the hospital!

That's what I was afraid of! :lmao:

I had seen menus and pictures on-line, so I pretty much knew what I wanted to eat. Tom didn’t have any idea and was blown away by the selection. I got the Chicken Penne Alfredo; it came with a soft breadstick.

On our way back to the room, I wanted to find the Lady and the Tramp statue. I absolutely adore that movie, and really wanted to see the huge icon. I was pretty sure it was in the 50’s section, but we stopped a CM to make sure. We thanked him anyway and just headed back to the room. :confused3

The Chicken Penne Alfredo is Trent's favorite meal there.

I should have been there to be your Pop tour guide. :)

Enjoy the movie. I think you're going to love it!

I'm in. A bit late, but I'm here. popcorn::

We stayed at POP in May 2009. Sorry to hear about your room.

Can't wait to hear more.

Plans always seem to change, don't they. I'm glad you listened to your body, and went with what you thought was do-able and best!!

I think ending up in the Food Court was a good move, and you really enjoyed it :) Yay!!

That was too funny about the Lady and the Tramp, no-speaky-English guy?? Whatever... don't they learn basic facts/words about where they are working?? :confused3

Love that retro tree. My DSis has one just like it. All silvery.

Looking forward to more!

Loved the last two updates! Bummer about the king bed. I don't blame you - I wouldn't have wanted to have moved rooms, either. You're in Disney - you can adapt, right???

Pop looks so pretty all decked out for Christmas. Your meals looked delish! That soft roll looked to die for, but I'm a bread nut. Speaking of being a bread nut, man oh man! Those cinnamon rolls looked heavenly. You are amazing! My cinnamon rolls come out of a can...:rolleyes1

I'm late but I'm here and joining in.

Those cinnamon buns look great!

Sorry about the king bed. Now that my DH and I have one, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep in anything smaller when we go back to WDW! :rotfl:

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

When I last left off, we had just settled in for a good night’s sleep in anticipation of our day at Epcot. I guess the excitement was still too high, because I was wide awake at 4:00 am. I didn’t think I was going to be able to fall back asleep. I tossed and turned and dozed for a while and finally gave up around 6:15. I took some time to unpack and get my park bag together, then got in the shower.

The shower felt so good; the water pressure was awesome! Afterwards, I began my morning ritual of downloading the previous day’s pictures from the camera to my laptop and then just “putzing” for a bit while I waited for my hair to dry a little. Oh, and I also ate a poptart from home and some of the Java Monster from the night before. The Monster was delicious (even at room temperature), but I was afraid to drink too much because I didn’t want the “crash” later. So I drank just enough to wash down the poptart and some Sudafed (I had been feeling “sinusy” for a few days).

Tom slept through all this.

When he finally woke up to get in the shower, I offered to go fill his cup with “Nesca-crap” so I could get some more pictures around the resort.

On the way to Classic Hall.

The pictures make it look like it was still dark outside, but it really wasn’t that dark.

Inside the food court.

On the way back to the room.

I got back, finished getting myself together, and we were out the door by 7:50am. Not bad, since I had wanted to be at the bus stop by 8:15am. We took our time walking to bus stop so we could get some more pictures.

We got to the bus stop just as an Epcot bus was loading. Perfect! The time stamp on the picture shows 8:06am.

The bus was crowded, and we had to stand, but we didn’t care. There was a family sitting near us that had the most adorable little girl and boy. The girl was around 2, and the boy was maybe 3 or 4. I’m guessing they were headed to have breakfast with the princesses, because the little girl was dressed up in a Belle outfit with little golden shoes. At one point one of her shoes fell off and she was trying desparately to get it back on. But her little hands just couldn’t maneuver it. So she was asking her brother to help her and he was! It was precious. The mom couldn’t see that he was trying to help and was getting snippy with her daughter to sit still and turn around. This caused the little girl to cry. The brother reached out and pulled her close and was rubbing her head and back. Oh my gosh, it was so adorable!

The rest of the ride was uneventful and we finally pulled into Epcot. I was beyond excited to finally be at a park!

Gracious! I had some catching up to do. I was way back on the cinnamon rolls post. What I wouldn't give for one of those right now and it's 4:30 in the afternoon. They look delish!

So you've finally arrived at your resort. But, darn it all, you were given two doubles. Oh well, like you said, you pulled a Lucy and Rickey and made do.

You were able to take some awesome pictures of the resort!

Looking forward to reading all about Epcot.

You were able to take some awesome pictures of the resort!

Thanks! We took some more later in the trip, too.

Great pics of Pop! Looking forward to hearing about yourday at Epcot!

Thanks! I'm hoping to get another update done tomorrow. They've already cancelled school again for tomorrow...:sad2:

What a sweet brother and sister!

It was so adorable! If I could have taken their picture, I would have! ;)

Great update! That's so cute about the little brother and sister. Disney World either makes me want to have kids (when I see stuff like that) or NOT want to EVER have children when I see the kids screaming their heads off!!

Isn't it great when you can have a leisurely get-yourself-together kind of morning? I love that. It makes everything go so much smoother all day long!

Love your story of the brother helping his sister! What a tender heart he must have!

I so hope my solo part of my Sept trip works out. If so, I will be staying at the POP!! It's growing on me I think.

Read your 12/20 update yesterday morning, hoping to see the pictures and then comment later. I never got a chance because I was way too busy at work. So this morning, even though it is ridiculously early, I am all caught up. I love your pictures of Pop. I love the unique views from your room location.

I know that feeling of being too excited to sleep. I'm glad you are off to a nice early start. Looking forward to reading about Epcot. Great story about the princess on the bus. So cute!

Love the pictures of Pop. You are so right - it is so Disneyish! More so than any of the other resorts, in my opinion.

That is the cutest story about the sister and brother. I picture my Mitchell being that way with his sibling. He wants one so bad. Tells me all the time what a great big brother he'd be!

Can't wait to hear all about your day at Epcot!

Okay, this not having a computer and having to sneak time at work or on my son's is not pleasing me at all. :headache: I am so far behind on everyone's trip reports. I've finally caught up on yours and love the pics and the updates.

So precious that brother/sister story! Would have melted my heart if I saw it in person. :goodvibes
