People need to take this seriously. I understand it is inconvenient and potentially costly to do so, but it isn’t a question of being young & healthy, it’s the massive boomer population and the effect they will have on health care systems. This is not the flu. Nor is it some politically motivated international conspiracy

I read a thread that reported on what is happening in a good hospital in Northern Italy. They are overwhelmed and short on supplies, running at 200% their usual max capacity. Choosing not to intubate patients over 65 and those with pre-existing conditions, because they don't have enough supplies but more importantly, enough staff to do so, as the staff has been getting sick too. This is not media conspiracy hysteria, and this is not happening in some third-world country. Italy has a good public healthcare system, and people in the US need to start taking this seriously. I'm honestly stunned by the people fiddling while Rome burns.
