Sorry to say the new pizza rest. At epcot is just average and overpriced pizza. We had a large cheese and pep. And sad to say nothing special.

Maybe i expected to much but at $27 it wasen't. Our pizza back home lrge cheese and pep. (by the way it was a bigger pie) is better and alot cheaper.

I wonder if anyone else has any feelings about the pizza. If it wasen't for our free gift card i would have been mad about paying cash for a overrated pizza place.

Won't go back.

This is the first negative thing I've heard about Via Napoli. The way I look at it is that we plan on getting the biggest pizza that's $36 to feed 4 of us and we'll split the cost. Now it's like the price of a CS meal ;).

I really like the pizza at Via Napoli. Honestly, since eating there I've had pizza in NYC and at a Mario Batali restaurant - Epcot's pizza was better. Thin but chewy crust, not too much cheese, interesting toppings on most pizzas (although I guess that doesn't affect the cheese and pepperoni pizzas).

We weren't impressed with the pizza, either. The crust was definitely very good, but the sauce was a little too runny (which caused that lovely crust to go a bit soggy, especially in the middle) and we were surprised by the way they arranged the toppings. We ordered the quattro stagioni, but did not understand that the four toppings (eggplant, mushroom, ham and artichoke) would come out on separate quarters of the pizza. The cheese was nearly non-existent, so you are essentially eating a one-topping, cheese-less pizza. We got mostly crust, very little topping. Pretty expensive pizza crust!

The waiter was a disappointment as well, he disappeared after delivering our food and we didn't see him for quite some time. During the ordering process, we asked several questions, most of which he just smiled and shrugged. He did, however, suggest that DD and I needed a large pizza for the two of us, when we were trying to decide if we wanted to split an individual pizza. With the appetizers, we had way too much food, and ended up leaving nearly half of the pizza behind.

We must be in a minority, but we aren't putting Via Napoli on our "must do" list!

Wow two negatives..First ones Ive seen.. DH and I plann on sharing an individual pizza and a chicken parm..Still looking fwd to it.

One thing to remember is it is WDW and with any theme park you will pay more for food than going outside WDW its something we expect and enjoy the magic of eatting in WDW after all its vacation..We watch spending the rest of the yr!

We were there the first day of the soft opening and LOVED it!!! We will be going back for DD's 14th birthday (9/19) and DS's 21st birthday(11/12)!!! Can't wait! I also understand about the whole melon on pizza thing. However, DD had it and it was AMAZING! We each got a different type of pizza and tried each others, and we all LOVED it. It sounds "odd" but give it a chance. :thumbsup2

we were in Rome in July this year and this is how the majority of Pizza's there were served. I guess maybe Disney are trying to be authentic?

Nothing to do with Disney trying to be authentic, as this restaurant is not owned or operated by Disney. The company that runs it does say they are attempting to provide authentic Neapolitan style pizza.

Thats kind of what I meant :upsidedow :)
