Italian places to eat in disney,outside parks

Hi all,
I love Italian food,I live in brooklyn the Italian food mecca of the country!I have eaten at tonys and mama melrose and alfredos,my question is in disney but outside the parks(resorts,dtd,other) Are there any nice places to get good Italian food?

Palio at the Swan is very good!

Yes, I agree. Palio is very good! Also, Portobello Yact Club at Downtown Disney is considered Italian...but it's Regional Italian so they have a lot of variety on their menu including steaks, chops, roast chicken, etc. They're food is also very good!

Palio is best. Portobello is a distant second. And everything else pales by comparion.

You absolutely must try Mamma Dellas at Universal's Portofino Bay Resort. The atmoshere and food are wonderful. I always order the eggplant parmigiana which is light and fresh served over angel hair. Here is the menu:

We enjoyed our meals at Palio and Portobello Yacht Club. It's not just like home but very good.

I'm from Nassau County and work in Brooklyn. Between lunch during the week and weekend trips into Little Italy, I can confidently suggest that Palio is the best Italian in the WDW area. It's still not NY, but it's pretty darn close.

there is a buca di beppo somewhere in orlando. It might be blasphemous to someone from Brooklyn but if you have never been there and you have a bit of a sense of humor you will love it...and the food is good, served in huge family portions....fantastically fun.
