Is there a counter service place in the Italy pavilion to get good Italian desserts? Specifically "Lobster Tails" or Tiramisu?

For reference:

Italy doesn’t have a counter service restaurant. They do have a kiosk where you can get gelato or tiramisu. The menus are shown in the review linked below from easywdw.

There is also Tutto Gusto, which is the wine bar that doesn’t accept reservations. It has small plates including desserts - but is table service.

You can get tiramisu via counter service @ Pizza Ponte in DS but that's the only place I can think of and of course it's not in Italy Pavilion.

Ughhhh… Thank you.

I was really hoping for the Lobster Tails! I never get to my local bakery early enough to get them

I love sfogliatella! (sometimes called lobster tails) Never seen them at WDW (nor anywhere near where I live, unfortunately). Ferrara's bakery in NYC does ship them frozen, though. Pricey, but they bake up wonderfully at home.

I beg to differ.... sfogliatelle and lobster tail are two different pastries - although the internet tries to call them the same thing. Sfogliatelle are triangular in shape with a light ricotta based filling baked inside. Lobster tails are elongated - like a true lobster tail - and are filled with cream after baking. Both can be found in true Italian bakeries.
But I agree - haven't seen either at WDW.

Good to know. But nothing beats eating them fresh at their Shoppe in Little Italy! My wife may or may not have placed a double order of their "trio of miniatures" just so she could try a half dozen of their pastries.

I wouldn't trust eating sfogliatelle in Orlando. It would probably be too mushy/soggy and not crisp due to the humidity and heat. However, Naples seemed decently humid, and I didn't get a bad one there. I don't remember if I have had a good cannoli at WDW. I don't think we have gotten any at Via Napoli, but the others, dessert parties and bakeries, have been terrible.

Right.
I dislike the ricotta filled ones. Lobster Tails with the custard filling are the pastry I'm talking about.

We call sfogliatelle “clams” and lobster tails are, well, lobster tails. LOL!

Should you find yourself in north Jersey, seek out Rispoli’s bakery. Both are awesome there, and they also make some of the best cookies you will ever eat. :)
