If there were more character meals that were plated instead of buffet...that way you will not have to miss a character coming to your table....the only ones that I think are that way are LTT, Princess in Norway, Ohana breakfast and Cindys Castle. I think it would be a huge hit!

It cuts both ways. A lot of folks prefer the buffets because their children in the 7-9 range can get "adult" meals if they wish.

Garden Grill is family style, not buffet, and quite good. It is an odd mixture of mac and cheese, chicken nuggest, flank steak, scalloped potatoes and fried catfish. Dessert is make your own cupcake and strawberries with puffed pastry. The characters are Chip and Dale, Pluto and Mickey.

Yup, and Garden Grill, the 7-9 year olds can eat from whichever selections they wish too.

Some people go more for the buffet than the characters. I think thier is a nice mix of pre-plated and buffets:

Disney probably realizes you eat less at buffets when there are characters, so they make more money
