Just home from 9 days at Disney. We usually go at the beginning of June, but had no choice this year to go but from 6/26 - 7/5. I kept telling everyone, "It's going to be crowded, no complaining, we're there to have fun." You won't believe this:
Mon. 6/26 - Hit TL at 8:30. Had the place to ourselves! Didn't get crowded until around 1 and by then we were ready to go. I do think we floated under a taping of Hannah Montana, though! They were on a bridge and it was blocked off. People were strategically placed in the water where there is an alternate route and it sounded like her voice. Kinda cool.
Tues. 6/27 - MK in morning. Low crowd. Epcot in evening and low crowd.
Wed. 6/28 - AK in morning. Very crowded because it was early entry and EE was down for the beginning.
Thurs. Epcot- Low crowd. Evening - MK - Low crowd.
Friday - MK - We had breakfast at CP so beat the crowd to the line drop. Still wasn't bad.
Sat. - AMAZING! It was EMH and we went to the AK. DH, DD 11 and DD13 rode EE 4 times in one hour! I got on twice within 20 minutes using fast passes. I couldn't believe it.
Sun. - AK again to ride EE. Got on 3 times within an hour, then two more with fast passes within 20 minutes. Evening - Epcot & low crowd.
Mon - Epcot in morning. Somewhat crowded when we left around 12, but was expecting it. Evening was MK and was somewhat crowded, with crowd getting worse closer to fireworks. Then it emptied around 10:30.
I guess what I'm trying to share is this: It wasn't as bad as I was thinking. Yes it did get crowded at MK on 7/3 around 8 for the fireworks. They were amazing! But I was expecting the sardine feeling the entire time, not just then. It was fantastic! I would never dread going into a busy holiday again by avoiding some of the EMH times and using fast passes well. Great trip!
