This is the weekend of the Diva Meet (The DIS Divas began getting together back in 2008, and this is our tenth year) and so I spent the day at Disneyland with my friends. It was so crowded!

I wanted to vlog about the new menu at the Red Rose Taverne, but it was so busy! The line went out the restaurant and down the path. I got the poutine flatbread and cauliflower sandwich one of my friends got the burger with the gruyere cheese, another friend got the chicken sandwhich... anyway, I got up to the counter around 1:15, and they had run out of the grey stuff!!! I had to go to another register and get a refund (as well as some other people). They gave us a fastpass to any ride as consolation.

We went to a table where a group of friends were, and I did get to taste the grey stuff. Yeah, it was delicious.

Later on, we did the Blue Bayou Electrical Parade dinner. It was really good. Some other friends did not have good service, so they are going to address it with City Hall tomorrow. We had a great spot for the parade, and then some of us headed down the street for the fireworks. Lucky 5'0 me, the 6' man in front took turns putting his son then his daughter on his shoulders, blocking most of my view. Since it was wall to wall people I couldn't move to another spot. Still - my favorite fireworks. They were so good.

It was fun meeting up with my diva friends, but did not enjoy the crowds. I should have taken a picture of the crowd between the hub and the castle around 1pm. It felt like the holiday season.

Good luck to any of you going this weekend.

What do you think attributed to the crowd today? The Red Rose Taverne? I want to go this weekend, but if the crowds are that busy, I think I'll hold off!

We were told it was because of Presidents week, then add cheer competition, warm weather after rainy weekends, AP days, electrical parade and ? --- there were a lot of people. Monsters Inc queue snaked outside the regular queue area.

For the first time since I've been going to the parks, it was the first time I heard the announcer say (twice) that the viewing area for the electrical parade was completely full and that guests would have to wait for the second show to watch it.

Wow, sounds like crazy crowds! Did you feel like you had enough space in the Blue Bayou parade viewing area or was it packed too? Thanks for your report!

The crowds were crazy last night! I popped over last night after work and I could barely move. I wanted to try to grab some grey stuff but once I saw the line...I got right out of there. I stayed for the first MSEP and went home afterwards.

We were there Tuesday and Wednesday and it was super crowded. Rides were down and standby lines for the headliners were up to 2 hours. Much more crowded than a weekend in late Aug. We used FP's and park hopped. Loved the Disneyland app. It told me what time the FP's return was so we were able to grab FP's for RSR at night.

Any rumors on how long the Red Rose Tavern will be around? I'm hoping through the summer...I'd love to try it out! Everyone needs a little grey stuff in their lives!!

We've been in the parks since Monday and it's been crazy packed all week. We felt Friday was actually a bit of an improvement. We didn't go on Thursday thankfully, I heard reports of it being worse. From our hotel room we could easily see 50 buses at the Toy Story lot (and they were constantly coming in) not to mention the large groups along Harbor Blvd and in DTD, some kind of school groups there. Today (Saturday) is our last day, we've done all the headliners at least once so hoping to hit a few again before we leave.

How did you like the other food at Red Rose Tavern? Thinking of eating there on our next trip.

This week is Ski Week for many California schools. I'd imagine that increased attendance quite a bit.

We were there Sun-Thurs and I couldn't believe how crowded it was for February. Many schools (including ours) had the whole week off so I attribute it to that. The weather was gorgeous though and we had an amazing time!

Yikes! "ski week"....another mess like Spring Break!!

Sooooooooo....how WAS the food at Red Rose????.......inquiring minds want to know...... :magnify:

when we went in January, the night we did our preferred seating they announced that there was no seating for the first showing and to wait for the second.

I saw this thread over the weekend and worried because my coworker was there on Friday for only her second time in her life and her kids' first time, but she didn't think it was that crowded, thank goodness. She had a great time and so did her kids, so I'm really happy for them.

We heard that message on Saturday night also and I had never heard it before either. Luckily we had a prime spot for both parade and fireworks, but unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled on Saturday so we will have to try again later for those. Have they announced how long Remember will be here? I'm guessing only until the summer fireworks start.

We did get to try Red Rose Tavern on Saturday. My DH had the chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed, and all of us enjoyed the Gray Stuff. My friend tried the Poutine (sp?) Flatbread and said it was pretty good. They were out of the Lemon Rose cake by the time we got in (around 12:30) so we didn't get to try that. It was crazy how long the line was but there was still plenty of seating. Once we got inside we found out it was because everyone was waiting for Rose Cups. It was an extra 20 minutes to get the cups even after getting your food.
