We're back and truthfully...a pity of a trip.
The first two days were mild at 60 degrees which we wasted one of those days at Sea World. (total bust) The rest of our week we were plagued with 40 degree temps/with lots of wind, and 30 degree evenings. It was the coldest in 30 years one newscaster said. It was really dissappointing. My dd and dh got very sick. One evening we spend our night at an after hours pediatrics in Orlando. It made for a sad trip because we couldn't do things as a family because dd was sick and could not be out in 40 degree weather all day.
The last day was 76 degrees and I was so sad about it. The days following after we left, all 80+ degrees....Grrr!
Aside from the things we could not control, the hotel, Boardwalk Villas was FANTASTIC! I could not imagine traveling to disney with any other accomadations with children. We had a 1 bedroom villa and it was worth every penny! The washer/dryer was such a blessing!!!
I also had the best massage of my LIFE! I wished I could take her home with me.
ME did a fine job, as well.
Over all, I will never go in Feb again. I will def stay at the BWV again. And I hope my kids are well on our next trip.

Aww, sorry it was so cold at WDW and some of your family got sick, what a bummer. I live in WI and it was below zero here for a couple of days, it must of been when Florida was experiencing unusually cold weather too. Hope your family is feeling better.

The weather is a luck thing. We went in Feb. one time and stayed for 9 days. 7 out of the 9 days we were able to wear shorts and t-shirts during the day, needed a sweatshirt at night. The last 2 days we were there it was very cold and windy. We had to wear pants and jackets. So ya never know, it's a chance you take.

We just got back Saturday from an 8 day stay and had a similar problem. The first couple days we were there it was pretty cool. DSD25 went swimming only because she could, didn't stay long and said that the pools at the Poly were cool and not heated. I had packed some long sleeve shirts for DD3 and I but needed to buy more. The 14th, DH went over to MK at 7 am for the behind the scenes train tour. The CM manning the monorail station at Poly was telling him that Florida had declared a state of emergency because of the cold. DH looked at the guy and replied that at home he had 18 inches of snow on the ground and no power and he really didn't consider a dip into the 40s an emergency. Naturally the day we left the temp was 80 and the sun was out.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Shame it was so cold.

We were there for New Years 2000 and had 30 degree weather the first 7 of 10 days we were there. They said it was a record low. It was horrible. We just went this New Years had nice weather 70 to 80 degrees. So it shows the weather is so unpredictable. We also went last March thinking we should have nice weather, WRONG it was so cold. We are planning for next March 2007 hopefully not a repeat of 2005. My DD was sick when we were just there, she got sick for the last 4 days we were there. So we did not do anything as a family those last 4 days. I know how it feels, We plan and plan for that Perfect Vacation. Is it the change in temperature? but one of my kids always gets sick in Disney.

Maria

Can I ask why your day at SeaWorld was a bust? We are planning on spending one day there in Sept. and have heard only good things.
