IT WAS LEGEND..(wait for it)..DARY!!!

Thank goodness you were able to cancel your room key before any damage could be done! I can't even imagine how that would have went over!!

I too, would like to know where that mysterious gazillion point target is!! That's it...I'm just gonna have to google it!! ::yes::

That's a bummer about Pepper Market. We don't think it's the best place ever but it's been an excellent use of a meal plan credit for us!!! I've read so many different reviews that I guess it's just hit or miss. I'm sorry it sucked for you guys! After reading my trip report you must think we have pretty bad taste!! ;)

I know, I know!!!

If you find out, please tell me, then I can hit it and beat him for once!!!

OMG - of course I don't think you have bad taste! We were just so confused at the PM and really didn't have any guidance from the folks there. Because we had the allergy issues too, we were even more easily flustered (I can admit that I get pretty freaky with the allergy situation) which just made for a bad experience.

Awww, it's over already!!!! :worried:
Hopefully, I'll be able to wrap up my report in the next few weeks too!!

Well, I have to give you major props for planning on doing this again with the in-laws! You are a strong & brave woman!! ::yes::

I'll be looking forward to reading all about it!!

Aww GREAT TR! I'm sorry it's over!! I was so scared for you when you told about leaving your card somewhere...my heart started beating fast and I thought, "OH NO!!" But I'm SO Glad that you got a new one and that no one had charged anything to the old one! That's such a relief! YAY for another trip!! How exciting!!

DH and I had talked about staying at Coronado Springs next time but now I'm not so sure. I just REALLY like POR ... I feel like that's my "Disney Home", you know what I mean? We would like to see another place just for a change but I don't know what we'll do! I'm acting as if we have a trip coming up soon...haha yeah right!! I wish!

:goodvibes

Hi Melanie,

So sad your TR is over. I really enjoyed reliving the trip with you. I wanted to tell you that we decided to return to WDW this coming December as well! I am so excited!!! You see...I am a cast member at the Disney Store. The company recently returned to the Walt Disney Co. after a 4-year absence. So, luckily, we can now take advantage of all the perks that Disney has to offer. I still have DVC, but I will be saving that for a longer trip when I want to invite more people. But...this trip, it will be just my huband, my son, and myself at CBR for 5 days (Dec. 4-8) So...maybe I'll see you there!! I always wanted to go around the holidays and now I am!!! I just booked it yesterday! Now it's time to plan, plan, plan!!! I can call about ADRs in 4 days!!!

Anyway, thank you for the TR and take care. :goodvibes

Anyways, Ralph and I really thought that Dee and Kay had not had a good time on this trip. Kay didn't ride anything. Dee was just difficult most of the time. Then they brought up that they wanted to go again, and might even go without us! Kay is insistent on doing the sunrise safari this time. So we have been planning already....

Well that's an unexpected surprise. That's great. And I think having some days w/ separate activities is a perfect solution. Good for you! I see another trip report in the making!!

And...I didn't forget...

The Mousse-fest Mousses Around the World Rankings :hyper:
In last place:
#4 Mousse plate at Raglan Road - strange textures and just not so good
#3 Boma chocolate mousse - their chocolate mousse has a coffee flavor to it which I just do not care for. (I don't like Zebra Domes either:duck: )
#2 Le Cellier chocolate moose - this gets points just for presentation! Its so cute! And, it doesn't seem to be on their menu any more - a travesty!

And the winner is...
#1 :worship: Hollywood and Vine - this mousse was just so delicious, little chocolate pieces in it, I could have eaten the entire bowl off of the buffet !!!:cloud9:

Thank you!! When I saw you had the final installments up I was thinking to myself "I hope she remembers the mousse!"

And...other good news is that Bear was tested for all common food allergens recently and had virtually NO reaction to any of them, including milk and eggs!!! We are still avoiding all of the same stuff, but he will be retested when he is 2 and if he still has no reaction, he will be challenged with milk and eggs, and maybe...just maybe...he will be ok and we won't have that issue to deal with!

That's great news! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Hope that you're feeling better.

Aw, I'm sad that it's over! I've really enjoyed reading along. I hope you can write another one next time. :)

Of all the TR's I could read, YOURS caught my eye:thumbsup2 .I LOVE How I met your mother. DD6 watches it with me. She loves to Dance around to the opening song..you know how it goes.

So...now that your TR is done, you'll be starting your PTR for December, right? I enjoyed "meeting" your family...well, most of them anyways. I hope that you at least do a TR for your next trip. I am planning on doing my first one for our trip in September and hope you will read along! Have a great summer! :goodvibes

I don't know about strong and brave - more likely just crazy and willing to go to WDW under any circumstances:rotfl2: However, I do think that some of the pressure will be off this time since we won't feel like we HAVE to be the tour guides and get Dee and Kay to see EVERYTHING, thinking that they would never be back.

Looking forward to the rest of your report!!! Thanks for reading along!

Thanks for reading Karen - I have so enjoyed your TRs too!

I know, I was totally freaking out about the lost KTTW! Thank goodness no one had used it. I was certainly thinking the worst and kicking myself until Ralphie made it back to tell me that it was ok.

You may like CSR??? It just wasn't our thing. We like to try different places each time - which probably just means that we haven't found our "Disney Home" yet!
We really liked the Poly but it is just so expensive. We all sat down to discuss resorts for this next trip. We really wanted to try POFQ (which was where we had our original reservation for this TR trip) but this time we couldn't get any rooms with a AAA discount. I was pushing for POR but for some reason the rest of the crew didn't want to stay there. We could have tried CBR which I was ok with, but again, no one else was interested. Dee and Kay wanted to spend the whole time at AKL but I didn't think it would be worth it without a Savanna view and they didn't have any AAA Savanna rooms available either! I think that Dee and Kay wanted to stay at a Deluxe this time. We were between BC and WL (my 1st choice) and ended up with BC (Ralphie's 1st choice)- we have been to YC and loved the location with the walkway to Epcot, but didn't love the YC decor. We did like the BC lobby and thought that we might like it better.

Don't you just love the planning part? Ralph and I just relish this! We sit down almost every night and go over the day to day plan, rehash restaurant possibilities, etc. Congrats on your upcoming trip - how awesome!!! Please let me know what you think of CBR because as I wrote above, I was all for staying there. You will love the holiday decorations! Maybe we will see each other - and we will be on speaking terms because the Browns don't play the Eagles until Dec 15th;) !!!

Thanks!!! I am feeling better - just all of a sudden over Memorial Day weekend I was fine. We think that it was some sort of weirdo migraine that lasted for days???? Now I am driving again and can work (yipee - right?).

Yes, such great news about Bear - I hope it works out. However, the bad news is that we don't have a place for our dog for upcoming vacations. Right around her 2nd birthday, she started freaking out with thunderstorms. When Ralph and I were both working and a thunderstorm came up, she would eat through the door moldings of the doors that we had left the house through. Our doors are a mess! Well, there was a thunderstorm when we were away in Hawaii and she was staying with my FIL and step MIL. She did a number on their doors. They said that she was a perfect angel the rest of the time, but they don't know if they want her to stay with them again in case of another storm while we're gone! I don't know if we can kennel her because of her issues with being in cages.... So we are working on this now for our upcoming trip to Washington DC and this next trip to WDW!

Aw, I'm sad that it's over! I've really enjoyed reading along. I hope you can write another one next time. :)
Thanks so much for reading! We'll see about another TR! I had really hoped to finish much sooner, but it was so much fun to relive the trip!
Of all the TR's I could read, YOURS caught my eye:thumbsup2 .I LOVE How I met your mother. DD6 watches it with me. She loves to Dance around to the opening song..you know how it goes.
Thanks nena! I hope you enjoyed it! I am so sad that all the shows are done for the season! We only watch 3 regularly - The Office, Lost, and How I Met Your Mother!
BTW, we did find the Lost beach on Oahu (where they film the beach scenes). It was totally cool and actually really easy to find!

So...now that your TR is done, you'll be starting your PTR for December, right? I enjoyed "meeting" your family...well, most of them anyways. I hope that you at least do a TR for your next trip. Beka, I am not sure about the PTR part. I kept meaning to do one for this last trip and just never got to it. I will be looking for your Sept trip report!

Awwwww...so sad that your TR is over! I can't wait to hear about your Dec. trip though. You will love being in WDW at Christmas time. A day without the inlaws will be heaven!!!! Isn't it funny how from your point of view you didn't think they had a good time, due to all their complaining and what not, yet they were already thinking about going back? Goes to show.......you never know with the IN LAWS. :rotfl2:

It was very entertaining! I hope yall have a great time on your next trip!!

I'm more into the planning than Tom is. That's fine with me because I really don't want to relinquish control of my WDW vacations to anyone else!!!!:rotfl2:

We've stayed at CBR before in 1995. I don't remember much about it...except for the fact that it was a very large resort compared to POFQ. The cast member booking system did not have anything available for that week at POFQ. CBR was the only moderate available...so I took it!

I won't hold it against you about being a Browns fan...for now!!!!!:lmao:

May I suggest this: I love rides. But the drops on Splash Mtn, Space Mtn., Tower of terror, Rock n Roller coaster. etc etc always USED TO leave me paralyzed in anticipation. Your idea of keeping your eyes open has worked for me. AND, I would also suggest screaming (insteading of holding your breath) and even throwing your arms up. Being a macho male, I was always guarded about screaming. But...believe me...it works! In fact, it works so well, there are no rides I avoid anymore. And that includes The Hulk and anything else that other wannabe theme park has to offer.

Sorry your report is over. I so enjoyed the holiday pictures.... it is such a beautiful place that time of year. Enjoy the planning for your upcoming trip!

*sigh* Yet another strike against PM in my book. I swear, I've never had a stellar meal there, and I'm not even dealing with allergies.

Thanks for writing this - I'm sorry it took so long for me to join in! Keep us posted on the next one; I want in early! :yay:

JRDMAN - Thanks for the advice. I am really going to try the eyes open this time around! I don't know about the screaming vs. breath holding and then the letting go!;) I must look like a blowfish when going down the hills - eyes closed, breath held with cheeks puffed out, and holding on for dear life! I think that the hills seem longer with eyes closed! Frankly, I didn't ride many of these rides before because I couldn't do so with Ralphie (we would have had to baby swap) and hold his hand and this time around when we could ride together (with the in-laws to watch the boys) I didn't even hold on to him - just the bars in front of me!!!
Sorry your report is over. I so enjoyed the holiday pictures.... it is such a beautiful place that time of year. Enjoy the planning for your upcoming trip!
Thanks for reading - I am reading about your upcoming trip, trying to catch up!

V- Thanks so much for joining in, better late than never::yes::

Melanie -
I just read your entire review and loved it!!
First, I have to say, I loved your review of your trip with your family when you were younger! My family was there in 86 and I have very similar pictures!!!

I know how you feel about the food allergies. My husband is lactose intolerant. Disney is by far the best place for catering to people's dietary needs. My husband loves going there and trying out all of the different restaurants and being able to eat pretty much everything made special for him.

But mostly, I know how you feel about traveling with the inlaws!! I have had similar experiences and sympathize with you!!

Thanks for the great TR. We are traveling to WDW in December with my family (my BIL is going to be a really pain to deal with!! And I am imagining what will happen after reading about your SIL!!) and I loved your holiday pictures!! Can't wait to read your 2008 trip!!

Also chiming in extremely late to say that I really enjoyed your report!
