Today was Alan’s birthday so he got to choose the park. I knew it would be Epcot as that was his favourite.

We got to the bus stop and there was a really big queue which throughout the holiday seemed to be the norm, and then when the buses did eventually arrive they were always packed, to be honest if I had a negative to say about staying onsite then this would be it. Eventually we managed to get on a bus and arrived at Epcot, the bus stop for Pop is the furthest away I think which was a real pain in the feet when we were going back.

First was Test Track, I have never done this one before as I didn’t fancy it but and last time we were there the queue was too long but I knew that wasn’t going to be the case today as it would be quite early. We got to the car and then I started to struggle with the seat belt as we were in the back and as I was in the middle I was trying to put the seat belt over my shoulder and started to panic when it wouldn’t fit till Alan told me it had to go in around my waist. :tounge: I quite enjoyed this one although I think I may have uttered a small swear word  when I saw the bend but I would do it again.

After this it was off to the Living Seas as this was closed in September and we didn’t get to it in April. We were going to see Crush but as soon as Alan seen the queue he decided he wasn’t going to wait so we had a look around and then it was off to get a fast pass for Soarin’. Fast pass in hand we decided to have a coffee and snack whilst we are in the Land.

As we took a break at this point I will break off slightly to say that our first visit was last April and the crowds were fairly busy at times but never too long but in September it was a walk on everything with perhaps 15 minutes being the longest wait time so this holiday was not to dh’s liking as it was a lot busier than anticipated and we seem to pick the wrong days for the parks and at times a couple of the rides were 2 hours wait time. :omg:

Replenished we went and watched Honey I Shrunk the Audience before heading back to use our fast pass. Soarin’ as usual was fantastic. It’s really hot by now (hence the title of the thread) and getting busy so we decide to get the monorail to MK for lunch.

I think that Alan thought that MK would be empty and that everyone was at Epcot, well he was wrong, after getting down Main Street (video in hand of course) we arrive at Fantasyland and decide to get some fries from the Fry Shoppe. We manage to find somewhere to sit but by now I can see that dh is wilting and starting to get a little tetchy so I suggest that perhaps we should go back to Pop for a few hours as we were going back to Epcot for EMH that night and of course illuminations.

After a few hours in the cool we are ready to go back to Epcot, once
again the queues for the buses were long. We arrive and get our wristbands and I must admit it felt kinda nice to think that we would be able to stay in the park. We have an hour before illuminations so we decide to try and find somewhere to eat. This was not good as one and a half trips around the world showcase and illuminations have started and we still haven’t eaten. :( We could see people with burgers but couldn’t find where they had got them from so we eventually bought some fish and chips from the Rose & Crown and sat and listened to the end of illuminations.

After eating the ROE had finished so we decide to head for Soarin’. We get to the land but it would appear that half of Epcot had beaten us to it and it was a 60 min wait. We decided we wouldn’t wait for that so we headed off and did The Land where we only had to wait about 20 mins although it was a lot longer when we came off. We decided that we would go back to Pop so we had a saunter to the bus stop. Well I think my mouth must have dropped to the floor as the queues were mega but that was okay because some of it must be for the Allstars, so I am excusing myself past people when someone asks me which bus I want and I tell her Pop but I am looking for the end of the queue and she tells me that this is the queue, so at this point I can now go back to the end of an even bigger queue or stand still and become partially sighted to other peoples glares (at which dh tells there were plenty) so I stand still, besides I don’t think my feet would have gone anywhere.

We arrive back at Pop and fetch our mugs and head back to fill them up before it closes. A slow walk back to our room where I fall on the bed wondering if my poor feet are going to make the next 13 days.

Wow, that was a long and busy day. Your photos are brilliant too :thumbsup2

Sounds like a long day, Cazzie. I know it can be tiring when the crowds are so big. When we went in April we found Epcot to be the busiest park by far.
