piece of furniture. :upsidedow Hey, those trips to WDW were made with compromises;);)

So today, a locally family owned furniture store had their 35% off ( family and friends) sale going and I bought 2 new Lazy Boy swivel recliners and 3 oak end tables. I am beyond excitied.

12 months free financing too. I made a substantial downpayment so my payments s/b $100 a mo. for the next 12 months.

Nice! We werre hoping to get new furniture, but college is going to be more than we were prepared for, so maybe in 4 years...We still have the headboard we bought 23 years ago when Ames was going out of business the first time, lol, we paid $15..a few more years won't hurt us!

Gosh us too, but with little ones and young pets still running around I think we'll wait a few more years... I do get new couch covers every couple of years, one set is only for company :rotfl: We want a whole new living room set.... but we NEED our vacations :rotfl2:
Congrats and enjoy your new purchases!

Congrats!

Our furniture is just a few years old, but the kids have worn it down. We are hoping for one more year from it!

My couch was bought new in 1995. The side table and coffee table are from a garage sale and St. Vincent de Paul, respectively; the platform rocker was inherited from DMIL and all my throw pillows come from the thrift store.

But I own DVC and have a 2 year old Mustang convertible. . .

It's all in my priorities!

That said, Ethan Allen is having a sale on couches until the 30th - just saw the commercial. I am seriously thinking about pricing out a new couch. If I'm lucky, it will last at least as long as the old one!

ETA: Up to $600 off, my foot. The couch I want is only $150 off before you start pricing out the covering. Hmph. Going to Town and Country (our local higher end dealer, not affiliated with anyone, been there forever, not in the best part of town etc. . .) soon.
