I have been trying for 6 years to get a Bog lunch reservation. We go on average every couple years for at least 10-14 days. Not once could I get an adr.
I have a planning subscription (not sure if I'm allowed to say it). A friend told me you can put a running request for your date, adr request and times. They will search and notify you if an opening comes up. Today I punched in my info. At 10:55 pm they texted me they found me a bog lunch adr on the date we just happened to be in mk! One day. It took one day to get that darn lunch adr my son so desperately wanted for the last 6 years. I'm not telling him. We are just going to show up for our adr and let the magic happen. #pixiedustpower

We were able to get a BOG reservation for our upcoming vacation the end of October. However, we did not get FoP or Slinky Dog fastpasses. We could only book day of but 60 days in advance since we were only staying onsite for one night. We used the above service that you talked about for the BoG reservation.

It's actually not that hard to get BoG. You can get ADR's within a few days of the date that you want. It's a common practice for people to over book themselves and then cancel a couple of days before. It can also be easier to book 2 tables for two than a table for 4....even a table for 3 and a table for 1. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it works. As long as you have the ADR's for the number of people in your party they will seat you together.

I’ve used this service - (no paid subscription necessary on their page for the dining) - the past three years. :thumbsup2 But also, like Dancing Disney Style, we were able to get a same-week adr while in the park as people cancel their plans.

They do mention this res finder on the Restaurants forum under their reservations sub-forum quite a bit. But I won’t take chances. Look there for further info. I’ve been very successful for those “popular” restaurants I didn’t book exactly at 6 months out.

I was looking at ADR options on a party day we’re doing and just happened to see some lunch BoG available those days. They are out there, and this is for Christmas party days a little over a month away.

I had really crummy luck getting one. I'm happy you were all able to find or get one so easily! Really grateful and thankful this service is available!

Honestly, we ended up eating breakfast there 3 times on out last trip, only 1 was booked way in advance. One reservation we got on the bus ride to MK in the morning! People constantly change/cancel their reservations, you never know what you'll find so just keep checking!

I got BOG lunch twice last week and I only booked the trip the week before. 1 reservation was made the day before. No reservation service necessary

Have a magical lunch at BOG. You deserve it! Make sure to order the "Grey Stuff" (The Master's Cupcake)

Have a wonderful lunch! I haven’t done the new dinner, but lunch was always our favorite meal there. I really enjoy the Niçoise salad there. We were lucky and got a reservation later in our trip, it always help when you have longer trips and stay on site for the harder reservations.

BTW, you should be fine mentioning the Touring Plans restaurant finder. The DIS has Len Tesla on their show sometimes.
