It took 11 trips, but we finally won!

We've been to WDW 10 times (that's about 50 days) since YOMD started and we never won anything. It was tough enough seeing all the happy people with their prizes, but even worse to see the people who didn't care about theirs. We got so frustrated seeing people walking around with their fastpasses with all the tags still intact or with their special ears scrunched at the bottom of a stroller. I will freely admit we were quite jealous!

We visited Disneyland for the first time ever last week for 4 days and won Dream Ears on the day we were leaving. Finally! We wore them proudly until we left for the airport.

It took 2 years & 3000 miles, but we finally won something!

HA!!!!! Love your post!!! I know just how you feel! I sent in postcards for all 3 kids daily for longer than I can say...all for naught. Before last years trip I had to lecture myself like a child, "Now, the odds are really against winning a Dream. Don't go getting your hopes too high. If it happens great; if not that's okay, too."

Still I found myself looking longingly at those Dream Teamers when I spied them here or there. Then we went to the Studios and rounded the corner into Walt Disney: One Man's Dream and who is standing there but those smiling Dream Team members!!! Smiling at who, you ask? Why us!!!! They asked where we were from and I was already jumping up and down, up and down! We won Dream FastPasses!!!! It was myself and my 2 sons. I told them how my husband had taken our daughter to Playhouse Disney and they kindly gave us 2 Dream FastPasses for them as well!!! Well, you would have thought we had been awarded Congressional medals the way we wore those things around! Not just that day, mind you, but every day for the rest of our trip because they reminded us of how lucky we were! Then when we got home there was a notice for my 5-year-old to pick up a package from the post office. Guess what it was? Dream Ears!!!!

We are doing all we can to get in another trip before the YOMD is over. Not because we want/expect to win again. Just to see all that pixie dust being sprinkled on everyone!

I totally agree! When we won Dream Fastpasses in May, I was literally crying (my husband laughing hysterically at my Disney Mania) and hugging the poor Dream Squad girl. The other people who won in our group we like, "What's this? Oh yeah, thanks..." Meanwhile, I am crying with my husband snapping photos. We were so grateful and thankful to the CMs.. I'll never understand some people's reactions

I was at WDW twice during YOMD. We did not receive fast passes or have the dream squad waiting for us;however, we did receive some little dreams that made my little girl the happiest little girl at the "Happiest Place on Earth"! On our first ever trip for my DD 5th birthday we were about to take our 1st ride on the Tea Cups. A nice cast member came over and asked my daughter if it was her birthday. Since it technically wasn't yet she said no. The cast member asked her if she would like to celebrate her Unbirthday. So she filled out a YOMD certificate for us then lead us through a special gate onto the Tea Cups floor. Then another cast member announced over the loud speaker that it was our unbirthday today. Everone waiting in line sang "Happy Unbirthday" to us. Then my daughter got to have first pick of the Tea Cups. This was truly a dream for her and she will never forget it.

That's exactly what I had to do! The funny thing is, the Dream Squad at DLR were wearing different colors than those at WDW so we thought we hadn't seen any of them throughout the trip. After we received the ears, we realized that they'd been around the whole time & we just hadn't recognized them!

Good for you both!! that is great. We have never seen anyone win, and we have not won yet either. We have about 6 trips during YOMD and yet have not won. we leave thursday, so just hoping something fun comes our way.

Even though we didn't officially win anything we did get a dream while we were there in Aug. We walked up to JC with out kids and were getting ready for the 30 minute wait. THis meant the dh and I would be trying to get out during the fireworks (It had been a long day starting at 1 in the morning with the kids calling that their flight was cancelled and then waiting to hear from them all day. They finally came in around 5 and we went over to MK) The CM saw dh and my ANnivversary Pins. He asked how long we had been married and we told him 30 years. He said "For that you deserve something" and gave us 5 fast passes. Dh and I were able to be on the ferry boat to see the fireworks. THe kids (who had been up for almost 36 hours as of then) stayed but my younger son came back soon after we got in.
