It seems single diner reservations book quickly at some places

I've been fooling around just looking at restaurants for my trip in October, and when the system added the most recent day to available reservations, it seemed that they only two that I couldn't get as a single diner were 'Ohana and Be Our Guest.

If you can't get a table for 1 try putting in a table for 2 instead. The Disney reservation system has a quirk that wants to fill as many seats as possible so frequently odd numbered parties (1,3,5...) have a harder time finding tables. The system wants to fill every seat at the table so it bypasses odd numbered groups in favor of even numbered ones.

Once you arrive at the restaurant just tell the CM at the podium that you're a party of one.

Don't you get docked 10$ if the entire party isn't present at a place that requires a credit card to hold the reservation?
