I am going to print out my offer confirmation and their website status page which now states that it is in shipping, rather than shipped as it did two months ago. Wish I had printed the old status page...

Summer left a message on Monday. She is putting a new request in for my card, and I should receive an email. It would then be three weeks for me to receive card.

No email as of yet, and I have been swamped this week so it is hard to call. I really think this is unacceptable as my status showed shipped at the beginning of the year - it shouldn't take another 3 weeks.

And was it Getspecialgifts.com? That's the one we are trying to get, for the $75 gift certificate. Patty, if you are going to do it, DON"T go through Getspecialgifts.com, it's been a NIGHTMARE! They don't answer emails and when they do it's a form letter. Blockbuster doesn't even know of them, because I tried going through them too. So beware!

Please watch your phone bills after completing the questions.

Instead of receiving my gift card, we received a $14.95 charge as part of our phone bill. We contested the charge on our phone bill and learned new legislation has made it easier for companies like this to claim they are a long distance provider. They then add their information to your phone bill and receive a service charge of $14.95. The person we spoke to said that many people go several months before noticing the $14.95 charge to their phone bill. Instead they just pay the bill without a second thought.

Please be careful, even if you receive your gift card as you may actually be paying for it.

Well, I finally rec'd a reply to one of my numerous emails...they said they couldn't verify my membership w/Blockbuster.com and could I mail them the emails I rec'd proving my membership. I printed off emails and will mail them today...but I have a feeling that won't be sufficient...I'm really starting to think this is a scam.

I got that too, so I called. Summer gave me a fax number and held while I faxed my Blockbuster confirmation to her. I emailed them yesterday (to follow up...can you tell how much I trust them?) and to my complete surprise, I receive this email today:

Thank you for your inquiry,

Our records indicates that your $75 Visa(r) Gift Certificate was sent
out on 04/04/05. You should receive your gift soon.

Please do not reply to this email as the account this is sent from is
not monitored for incoming mail and you will not receive a reply.

Ok Here is one dumb person. I finaly got my 75 gift card today and it has to be activated by my phone number as on my account. Only I can't remember what number I entered. Some times I make up a number to prevert unwanted phone calls. What to do now. Any suggestions. Carol

I have no idea -- darn darn darn. Maybe you could call them and say that you must have "keyed" in the phone number wrong and ask them to confirm it?

I had participated to get the $75 Visa gift card. I sent in my voucher three weeks ago and the card arrived in the mail today. The program worked exactly as advertised for me. One key was that I followed the directions to the letter.

I filled out the offer in November and received the gift card in the beginning of April -- two weeks before our WDW trip!!! It paid for a wonderful dinner at O'hana!!! What a great treat!! I did send in my certificate twice because it was taking so long to receive the gift card. Not sure if they misplaced it or what. But it's worth the effort!!!

Hi everyone, Good news I got the card activated. I found a phone number on the letter that sent the gift card icardgift card and called them. They were very nice and it seems the phone number got reversed. she activated it for me. So My advise it to keep at it. I kept all the paper work (copy of voucher I sent off) and I saved the different pages from getspecialgifts in favorites so I could bring them up. (the original offer and the voucher etc). As someone else follow the rule religiously and keep notes for yourself. So it does work.

After much wasted time when i went to log into my points it wouldnt accept my browser. Wasted time. Now I gotta close the card I signed up for, though the credit card with points really isnt a bad deal. 5% rewards at gas stations and 1% everywhere else is pretty much as good as it gets.

Thanks to everyone for calling them!!! I think that we hit them all at once so they felt some pressure to get these cards out. Now if only my test drive cards would come...
