It really worked!! Free $75 Gift Card

I bought the Entertainment book (we usually buy it anyway) on 11/13/04 and my $50 check was dated 3/1/05. It did take a while, but since I would have bought the Entertainment book anyway, I felt that I really didn't have anything to lose.

I received a $50 check from yourgiftcards.com in lieu of the $50 Visa gift card (they were out of stock) after an email - no problems. That's why I have been so frustrated with getspecialgifts.com, as I have emailed them at least 10 times and have yet to receive anything but a canned "we're looking into it" response - and I only got that email two times.

I will try to call on Monday - everyone who calls please post your results!!!! Maybe we can put enough pressure on them to send our giftcards out!!!
 
Happy to report I got my $75 gift card after enrolling with Blockbuster.com (a service we love so much we decided to stay with it), and have already used it. I am sorry some of you are having such troubles. I will say that I was having trouble activating my card and called customer service and they took care of it immediately and were very friendly and helpful.

Regarding the voucher, I went to the website and signed in (I think). I was taken to a message that said my obligations were fulfilled and there was a link you could click to get to the voucher page. I simply printed out the voucher, filled it out and mailed it in. A week or so later I got an email from them saying my order was processing, and about 3-4 weeks later I got the actual card.
 

When I call them, no one answers :confused3 I will try again on Monday, maybe they are on vacation this past week? I'll keep you updated.

Update:

Well, I'd also done the "getspecialgifts.com" offer and after a dozen, unanswered, emails, I'd written them off. Thanks to the person who posted a phone number. I called a few minutes ago and spoke to someone, who said they had "been having trouble with their emails." I asked her if she'd worked for them long and she said yes, so I asked her...."is this for real or is it a scam?" She said it was legit, but that her best advice to me was to keep following up. So -- maybe it is legit, but it might take a little more work? Has anybody else called?

Called today. They will look into it, and someone is suppose to call me back with results by Friday. We shall see...

I did this also. When I was taking the survey thingy, it said that I had to complete one offer so I did. I ordered from the inkjet company. Anyway the ink cartridge has arrived already and when I go to the site to redeem the voucher it says I have not made may commitments. It is saying I was suppose to complete 2 offers. Has this happened to anyone else? I plan on calling them tomorrow. I e-mailed, but no reply!!
 
I'm experiencing the same thing...it said you only had to complete one offer to get the certificate. So I signed up for Blockbuster in January and my status still says not completed AND in one area of the GetSpecialGifts website, it says I need to complete 2 offers but another area said I only needed one offer...so I'm not sure what will happen. I have emaled them twice now and rec'd no response. I'll email again a few more times before I call them. It's very frustrating. I was hoping that the amount of phone calls and emails they are getting just from DIS'ers would make them realize that they need to improve their customer service practices.

This is my exact experience also. Chose Bolckbuster several months ago- it said "only need to complete one offer" now they are saying I need to sign up for another offer. I also have been emailing with no response.
 
Same thing happened to me last week. I emailed on Saturday 3/27, received a response on Tuesday 3/29 and they updated my status page. I mailed the vouchers yesterday. I would keep trying. Thanks

What e-mail address did you use? I have e-mailed them twice and no response. I just tried to call them at 561-997-6484 and had to leave a message!! I doubt I will get a call back from them. Does anyone know any course of action that can be taken. I am really mad!!!
 
I called that number and they are NOT Getspecialgifts.com. The woman told me they don't even have $75 vouchers :( The number is a number in CA and GSG is in Florida. So we are back to square one again. No response or form letter responses to emails If anyone can help with a phone number that would be great.

Wow... I hope SOMEONE can get get ahold of them... Kinda shady when they don't post their phone # on their website. I am gonna send out my voucher tomorow, I am thinking of sending it out certified mail so I KNOW it is received.

Which number did you call? We called the (561) 997-6484 and it was getspecialgifts.com, and they were to get back to me by Friday. Here is what Whitepages.com says when I put the number in:
"We're sorry. We did not find a listing for the phone number you entered.
The phone number "(561) 997-6484" is a Boca Raton, FL based phone number and the registered carrier is Bellsouth Telecomm Inc Dba Southern Bell Tel & Tel. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier."

It is definitely a FL area code. When I did a lookup on their address it appears to be a box in a UPS store. UGH!!!

When I do more research it appears getspecialgifts.com is aka eMarketResearchGroup.com. Other websites complain about them:

Update: I used the number on the thread (561-997-6484). They took my name and number and said someone would call me back...it took three days, but I got a phone call today from Summer.

She said they didn't have any record of my completing my Blockbuster offer, but that if I could fax her something showing that I'd completed the offer that she would submit it to their fulfillment department today. So, while she was on the phone, I faxed her a copy of my confirmation page. She said that it takes 3-4 weeks from the time she submits it.

She also gave me their new 800#....which is 1-866-301-7260. I haven't tried it, so I can't verify the number.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in 3 or 4 weeks my gift card will arrive.

I did call that number, I wonder why she told me that. She said they don't even have 75 dollar gift cards. I will call again today and see what happens, and also try the toll free number. Thanks everyone! :grouphug:
