You are doing something wrong. There is no way. NONE of the resorts went up by a $1 or more. $15 a month increase on 150 pts is a $1 increase in dues, and that didn't happen. Check your paperwork and do the math again. The biggest increase I can see is VB and that is only $0.43. If you owned 150 points there that's only a $64.50 increase yearly and $5.38 a month. Are you sure you didn't have a tax adjustment?
What do you mean the 3rd contract you paid off right away? Do you mean you paid the dues up front for the year?
this does not make any sense at all, dues did not go up that much, and as stated January payment is always a little more as its the catch up month for underpaid maintenance for the year when adjusted to actual. And you would still pay dues on your paid off contract, so not really sure what it is your saying?

Dues at BLT went from $3.89 in 2011 to $4.22 in 2012, an increase of 33 cents per point per year. You have 250 points so your annual increase is: 250 * .33 = $82.50. Dividing that by 12 and rounding up you get a monthly increase of $6.88.
It's because, at least on my statements from this and last years, we (Bay Lake owners...we have 160 points) had a CREDIT from an OVERestimate of previous taxes. So our dues LAST year were falsely low. This year they UNDERestimated it, so our dues FEEL like they are way way higher. If our dues had been normal, without the credit last year, it wouldn't feel like this.
Last year my dues were 44ish per month. January the charge was in the 70s, and now they are at 56ish for the rest of the year. Not pretty, but it's just b/c of that dang credit last year that made us FEEL like we're getting a raw deal this year.
