It Is, What It is...

We're here right now, staying at the Boardwalk and loving Magic Bands and using FP+ more efficiently that I had originally thought possible. One thing I particularly like is the email you get if one of your FP selections is down. In real time, you're given the option of using the FP at several other attractions with no constraint of the time window and no action required on your part.

For visitors who did not make advance FPs, there are several CM's with pads in hand ready to explain and assist. It seems like like the system can accommodate several different touring styles. I've also encountered several CM's asking specific questions about our WDW experience so I believe that consumer input is being sought and considered.

I'll just say that I'm extremely happy for those people who like this. That's wonderful and I hope that you all have very many happy trips to come.

However this isn't for everyone and it's not only because of the rides. In my case it's the scheduling. It's just way more than I want to deal with. I work under constant schedules and deadlines and the last thing I want is to deal with more of that when I go on vacation. I love to stay busy but I want to do at least some of it at my pace and I want to set my own schedule as I go.

But that's OK. We've had 20 years of wonderful trips to WDW but I've been mulling over checking out some other dream places for a while. This has finally given me the incentive to be serious about that. I'll likely be back but it's not something I'm planning any time soon.

I agree that it is what it is. I just don't want it, at least not for now.

What she said....

There is a lot of frustration clearly over the new FP+ system. But honestly, what can we do? It is what it is...

There's an old saying, "the will to win is nothing without the will to prepare". Take what's in front of us and prepare the best we can to adjust to the circumstances.

We are all dealt a 'hand of cards' and we never know what we are going to get. We can either fold and give up, or press on and just deal with what we've got. I for one will continue to go to Disney World with my family regardless of the changes that occur.

Life is too short to complain about FP+, but rather we should just enjoy the times we can have together with our families at a place that we all believe is magical.

That's just my two cents....Disney here I come in 4 days!

ABSOLUTELY:thumbsup2 I started informing myself on magic bands and fp+ which led to:
reading all the negativity and got a bit freaked and then decided I wasn't going to read anymore of it.

Went on my vacation and my FP+/ Magic Band experience was great!!!
