It is so hard

The OP is hearing voices and having hallucinations. In past posts she has been borderline suicidal. She is also not neurotypical, to put it delicately, and isn't able to live fully independently. She needs help, and not the type she can get on message boards. And I highly doubt her mom or her therapist know to check these boards to see what her mental state is. Her posts are getting more erratic and hard to understand, and it doesn't seem that the message that she needs to get more intensive professional help is sinking in. So if it could help save her life, then yes, I hope someone figures out how to reach someone to help her.

Here's the thing. I wouldn't do what was suggested but I can understand the idea.
The Op posts all kinds of stuff here, much of which is incoherent. She posts complaining about her job often. Now she is saying she has suicidal thoughts and hallucinates. It's frightening to think she works with young children.
She needs to get help and get well.

I get both of these posts BUT this is a person on a Disney chatboard who seems to have no problem with posting so I am sure that there are other boards available to this individual that focus on her special issues. Most people find this board to discuss things Disney (and actually I can't really recall a post by her about anything Disney but I digress) I am quite sure that she can find a board here on the interwebs that would be more suited to her specialized needs. Why post here? This is not the kind of place to ask for specialized help

Maybe because someone suggested that she be stalked and her place of employment informed about what she posted??? There are boards in place for that kind of nonsense, I didn't realize the Dis was one of them:confused3

Nope. She's out there posting new threads like none of this ever happened.

I totally agree. I also agree with the fact that as a parent I would not want someone with these major issues around my child in a school setting. Not being mean just being honest.
Tinker bell, I honestly do hope you seek some more professional help. I understand you don't want to let your coworkers down but you really need to learn that your own health needs to be priority. Plain and simple. Good luck.

She is a frequent poster on these boards and who knows why she chose the Dis to post on but she did. Also, this is the community board so it doesn't have to be about Disney. I have to say with what she posted I'm worried about her and the kids she is around(not that I think she would harm them). I just want her to get the help she needs and she really needs help NOW. What she posted is concerning

As a parent, I would be concerned. I feel that her "employer" should be notified of what's going on with her, and it's irresponsible for her to continue to work in in her current situation given hallucinations and hearing voices. I absolutely pray that she gets the help she needs to lead a more productive and fulfilling life. I also pray that she takes herself out of her current position, or that her employer intervenes. Immediately.

But that's the issue - she seems to rely on the Dis for every.little.thing. Even things that Google would take care of in two seconds. I don't think she realizes that she DOES need specialized help, and it goes beyond just seeing a counselor maybe once a week. Aside from the current mental health issue, there are essential life skills that are unfortunately sorely lacking, and OP doesn't seem to have the real-life support/resources she desperately needs to navigate the world.

OP- What about your husband? Have you talked with him about any of this?

I will be surprised if we hear from OP anytime soon.

This is day 3 with no answer. This really bothers me both for her and those children.

An example of why we need more mental health services and programs in this country.

She's posted today, just not here.

People also blame things on we need more mental health services. You could have all the services in the world but if the people that need them don't use them, they won't do any good.

From all of her posts, it seems the Op, does have services available to her and people to give her support. It's hard to imagine she sees suicidal thoughts and hallucinations as that big of a deal since she mentioned it on the Dis in a somewhat casual manner.

Very true. I was kind of thinking more along the lines of a job program type service. If something like this was available maybe she would have a more appropriate environment to spend her time and efforts.

This thread is more harmful then helpful please have it shut down I am more sorry then words can express that I started it

I think you got some good advice and some honest answers. Hopefully you will consider the things that were said.

Point being is I am still very welcomed at "work" and I do have a break coming up so I am hoping everything becomes moot

Sweetie, please, please take care of yourself.

The work you do is stressful. Believe me, I know. And that stress could be adding to your problem.

Just talk to your counselor about all that is going on. Call him/her if you don't have an appointment coming up.

Put YOU first not the job. You will be a better volunteer because of it.

I hope your break is very restful, Tink, and I hope you disclose everything to your therapist, but I think you will. :) Enjoy your break!

Have you spoken with them about what is going on? I hope you can use your break to address your issues. Best wishes.

Okay - I'm gonna say it - I cannot ever recall the OP being this articulate! Punctuation, proper grammar, correct spelling and the word "moot"!

Something is going on here!

Which is the real OP?

And if this is indeed the OP - all of the advise given here has not been hurtful at all. People here are worried about you and your students and staff and are trying to help. You just didn't like the responses you got!
