OK. Is it possible there are NO rooms available Nov 9th? My family is arriving on Nov 9th and were told by DVC NO rooms are available. Is this possible...the whole park is booked on this one night? :furious: We are booked for cash at OKW for the night, but I can't believe no rooms are available??? Any advice?
Thanks

It's the first day of the NJ Teachers Convention, so even people from NJ who were only going for the long weekend have already booked!

Did you waitlist?

Lots of schools give election day (Nov. 7th) off (I know ours does). It makes for a nice little trip. We considered pulling the kids out and doing a Sun-Wed trip that week. I'm not at all surprised to hear it is booked solid.

I think it is the TH curse. In June, I tired to book a studio at any DVC resort for TH, 10/26 and was told there was no availability.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Thanks. We are waitlisted, so hopefully something will come through. We booked this months ago, not even thinking about Jersey week. Oh well, Disney is Disney, no matter where we stay! :thumbsup2 Thank you !

I had the same problem last year; only I needed Nov. 6 and was put on a waitlist. Fortunately, the waitlist came through. I did have a backup reservation at PO for that night just in case. Good Luck!

Thanks. How long before your trip did you get the call from being waitlisted?

My DH came in tonight and said, "Let's go a day earlier". Of course I said Yes.
But there's nothing available in any DVC resort for Oct 27th. We're waitlisted, but being this close I'm not too optimistic.

Last year we arrived 1 night early (friday after Thanksgiving) and the only room available in all of WDW (not just DVC) was a handicap studio in OKW.

It's hard to imagine all the rooms being taken. You'd think this place was something special ;) ;)

As of last night there is no availablity through the 11th - including cash rooms through Disney. (although possibly through Travelocity) We are taking a last minute trip (we just bought our first DVC contract and this will be our first trip - YEAH!) but we are having to spend the first two nights at a hotel off site - then we were able to get into SS for the following week...

I was on the Waitlist for over 2 months. I was able to get all the nights I needed except 11/09. It just came through last Friday. Of course I still have to move twice during my 13 night stay but at least I know I have a room each night now. In my experience Thursday nights seem to be the hardest to get if you don't book way in advance. Sundays seem to be a close second hardest.

I thought they turned all the room over to CRO at the 60 day out mark. That might be why you can get it through CRO and not on points.

Then anything not rented comes back and that pulls from the waitlist.

I could be wrong but I think thats how it works.

About four weeks before my vacation, I called MS to make my ME arrangements. Since I had MS on the phone, I asked her to check on my waitlist and found out it came through.

I actually just came to the forum to see if anybody had luck with waitlists for this time period. I'm waitlisted for a one-bedroom at BWV for Nov. 6-9 -- we're currently in a BWV studio but due to a health issue on my mom's last vacation, we now have 29 points in holding to blow, that will expire on January 31st and we won't be able to get back down to Florida before then.

Anybody?

I'm not too confident our waitlist will come through -- that following weekend is the last weekend of Food & Wine and Super Soap Weekend too, so I think there are a lot of crowds for that as well. I keep deabting using those 29 points toward a Deluxe resort for one night (we're cruising Nov. 9-12, then have one night at OKW before we head home that we could switch for a deluxe -- I've never stayed at GF!!!).
