Hi!

Some of you may recognize me from my PTR (my apologies for falling behind and the thread being locked!) But, if you're brand new, check out my PTR for a longer background story about our group.

For a quick summary, the cast of characters on this trip included:

DM - Marilyn - "Age is only a number!" - Two time breast cancer survivor, and my absolute hero. She (along with DH) is my best friend and I could not imagine my life without her. We have a very special mother/daughter relationship. This trip was initially planned to celebrate her fighting breast cancer twice, but about two months before our trip, she was diagnosed with skin cancer. We thought we may have to cancel, but like always, she was a fighter and things turned out OK. She's now cancer free for the third time and just as stubborn (er, strong-minded) as ever. She runs a private daycare and her kids adore her.

DF - David - 62 - He used to plan all of our WDW trips, but DM makes fun of him now that he really didn't know anything about WDW after I've found all of my great advice and can out-do him in the planning category thanks to the DIS. He works for a telecomm company.

DH - Brad - 25 - He had not been to WDW since he was very young until we went in June 2008 for our honeymoon; he quickly became hooked. He leaves most of the planning up to me, and says as long as he gets to eat, he'll be happy. (He's easy to please!) He's had his teaching certification for two years, but has not been able to find a teaching job thanks to cuts due to the terrible economy. He's currently working three jobs (tutoring, a retail job, and substitute teaching), so we don't see each other much.

Me - Heather - 25 - In the process of preparing for law school and working at a law firm; I took some time off between undergrad and law school to get settled in after marrying DH and build up some savings. I thought I'd be back to school by now, but the economy had other plans for me. For now, I'm happy where I am and looking forward to what the future holds for us. I'm an OCD planner and pretty much carry my WDW planning binder with me everywhere I go during the 2-3 months leading up to a trip. I've been nearly 20 times, and love planning everything now that I'm older.

The plans included:

December 2 - Leave Dallas after DM and I get off from work.
December 3 - Finish the drive and check in to POP!
December 4-8 - WDW parks.
December 8-13am - Check out of POP!/check in to Royal Pacific at US; Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and Discovery Cove.
December 13pm-14 - Drive home. Booo!

I'm hoping to start getting pictures uploaded tonight/tomorrow but need to start cramming in some serious LSAT preparation time, too. I'll update as often as I can though!
