It' has been a long time

How long has it been since you've seen your best friend? For me it's been 15 years. My pal Bob moved from Memphis to Arizona 15 years ago. We were always on a golf course back in the day. We traveled all over the mid- south playing in tournaments. When he lost his job he headed for a better life for him and his family.

We've kept in touch over the years via e-mail and the telephone. After 15 years we will be on the golf course again on Monday! He and his family will be here (Tampa actually) on Saturday for a vacation. He and his son will drive over to Orlando on Sunday afternoon and stay one of the resorts and we will get togther for dinner, tell lies and remember the day we did such and such. Then Monday morning it's off to Disney for a 36 hole golf day!

I can't believe it's been 15 years since we have been able to do this......I can't wait!!

Time passes so quickly that you don't even realize how long it's been. I have not seen my best friend from college in over 12 years. We had a falling out my senior year but started communicationg again several years ago but now live 800 miles apart.

I saw mine in may. But it had been nearly 3 years before that. Too long. We keep in touch via email and phone calls too.
I miss her.

My best friend in grammar school middle school was Lisa. We ended up going to different high schools, making new friends and unfortunately drifting apart. 2 years ago we ran into eachother at a wedding (my dh's cousin her Dh's college friend). At the time she was about 2 months pregnant with triplets, 3 weeks later I became pregnant with triplets. Our kids are 9 weeks apart. She now lives 20 minutes from me and we see eaother all the time.

My former best friend (is that even possible?), called me just this week. Made my night! We talked for almost 4 hours, picked up right where we left off, from about a year prior. It had been about 7 months since a brief phone call back then, but we have no problem talking all night, if necessary! Lord knows we used to do that nearly EVERY night!

As a matter of fact, I'm gonna call her back and see if we can get together in the next couple of weeks!
