It happened!

Yesterday I ran into a schoolmate of my daughters mother. I haven't seen her since school got out. I started Atkins 7/7 so she hasn't seen me since I atarted to lose weight. The first words out of her mouth were "wow! How much weight have you lost this summer?" Did I mention I LOVE this woman and she is my new best friend? I have begun to notice a differnce in my clothing etc. but everyone else sees me on a day to day basis and doesn't notice as much. I cannot tell you how great that made me feel. The funny part is I had been stuck and not really losing any weight, I woke up this morning and had lost 2 lbs, probably water weight, I know but who knows!! The power of a compliment!!

It is always a wonderful feeling when someone notices our efforts and hard work. I am sure you are walking on air right now! It is harder for those who are around us daily to notice the subtle changes, but as time goes on they will notice. Congratulations on your loss so far!

I have to admit it, that is one of my favorite things about losing this nasty weight!! The compliments!! As much as we do this for ourselves, it is always a boost to keep going when others notice!!!

I work in a school and go back in a few weeks. I gotta buy some new clothes that aren't so baggy! (I've been known to hide in big clothes!) I still have a long ways to go and a few people had commented on the initial weight loss. It's coming off slowly, so not sure how noticeable it really is.
