On this cold and snowy day I decided to get off my butt and do a major cleaning. It started off by wanting to get to a shelving unit in the basement and became a 4 hour project. I cleaned and re-organized my storage area then tackling the kitchen.

It's one of those things that, once it's finished, I wonder why I didn't do this sooner. Both the storage area and the kitchen look much better. For a packrat like me this is a big thing.

I completely understand. I have such a hard time procrastinating things like that, but once I get started, I love it! I'm thrilled over just the little plastic drawers that I just put in my hallway closet -- makes such a huge difference. Ahhh... the little things in life :sunny: (i'm so easy to impress  )

Congrats on the progress!!

We finaly put the Christmas decorations into storage today, and now I have my spare room back. :D

good job. I just don't have the energy today.
Two loads of laundry, washed dishes by hand, grocery shopping, and made cream puffs.
I have so much more to do - will try to accomplish a bunch more tomorrow.

I've been reorganizing and throwing tons of stuff away almost daily since Christmas. I've cleaned the attic and every trash day our drive was is full. Today I cleaned the linen closet, yesterday was the pantry. We've done my closet, both boys rooms, and the garage. Some of the stuff I'd been saving is crazy. I've also given clothes to charity and blankets and stuff to the humane society. We've taken everything out of old boxes and put them in storage bins. It just felt so good once I got started that I keep going. I've been watching Clean Sweep and that encourages me.

I love it when I tackle clutter. It seems so overwhelming at first but like you said in the end its not that bad and you almost kick yourself for not doing it sooner. Now reward yourself and go put your feet up ;) .

I treated myself with a bowl of popcorn as I watched the Pats win their way to the Superbowl!

Hey, even my fish got a clean home after my frenzy. He got shrimp pellets for his treat for being good during the cleaning.

My bedroom closet is big - with built-ins. I WILL empty it and re-load THIS WEEK!!! There is stuff on the floor, not so much stuff on the shelves & in drawers. I meant to start yesterday, then today...I have tomorrow off from work, but I'm having my nephews & niece over tomorrow. (6 yr old triplets & a 12 year-old) Depending on how long they're here, I may start tomorrow. It's something I've been meaning to do for months!

UGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH my house is a so unorganized since Christmas. We just boxed up the tree tonight. We just had DD's fist birthday party yesterday. (Only one toy she got thank god) I need to go through DS and DD's toys next. I have trouble getting into a cleaning project during the day with a 3.5yr old and my almost 1yr old. I do what I can at night if I am not too tired.
Anyone want to come over and help? :p

I keep waiting for the cleaning fairy to show up here.:o If anyone sees her will you please tell her she is desperately needed at my house!!!:earseek:
