One of the female local news reports is out in this **** giving live reports. She was describing what the rain felt like when it hit her. She says......

"It feels like I am being pelted with CORN NIBLETS"!!

Ok....HOW does she know corn niblets feel this way? Who threw them at her and why??? Were they still in the little can?? Were they on a cob??
Where was she when this niblet attack occured??? Was the attacker caught? Was it done by a great big GREEN guy in leaf pants??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Better yet were they frozen and still in the bag or loose enquiring minds want to know LOL.

::yes:: :p

OMG... that's hysterical! I can't stop laughing!

I have been watching these reporters for days now (Being right in the mix of the storm),,,,and while I KNOW this is their job,and they need to SHOW us what's happening,,,,BUT some just go to darn far,,,,,,if you are being blown over by the wind GO IN SIDE FOR GOD SAKE!!!! And some of the things they say are a bit funny!!!!

The CORN thing was a HOOT-----I agree HOW WOULD she know that feeling LOL

Tink

Does that hurt more or less than popcorn kernels? ;)

BTW, that REALLY helps me out. I was going to go charge the cell phones out in my car when our power was out earlier--being pelted by corn niblets will definitely keep me inside, lol!

Eye wall is 60 miles away. The power's back (obviously), so I didn't have to go charge--the whole family and every friend that has the new number has been calling. Nothing like a storm to promote togetherness.

Thanks for the laugh....that was so funny. We needed it today. Stay safe!

Yet another way to serve corn: corn on the cob, cream style corn, and "category 3" corn.;)

Well we now know what her food of choice is for a food fight!:)LOL

:rotfl: only on the DIS would we find that a humorous statement. Hope all is well with you this evening Tony!

1. Kudos to the petite reporter in the orange jacket from WOFL. She kept her calm while walking in the middle of the street in the nastiest rain and wind. Then she said that another reporter got hit with a branch. For the next hurricane, my town used to have a 300lb reporter who can probably stand in the stiffest of wind.

2. Tell Geraldo not to make up stuff. He saw a guy in distress in a boat at least a quarter mile away bobbing in the channel. Of course there was nobody in there, but I could barely see the boat. Geraldo must have eagle eyes.

Yeah the reporting has been over the top. TVT thanks for the laugh. :hyper:

Category 3 corn: remove kernels from cob and put in large iron skillet with real butter, salt and pepper. When idiot newscaster steps out into gale force winds, heave said skillet in her general direction.
