It cost us $1458 for free dining- how did you all save $?

We saved NOTHING!
We weren't going to take a WDW trip this year UNTIL- "free dining" came about- now not only are we paying $622 for 4 nights at Pop that we didn't intend to spend, I talked my Dad and DH's Mom into going with us to the tune of $418 each from each of them too for a grand total of ................... $1458 for all of us with three rooms and 6 one day tickets!
This is the fastest that we have ever gotten together to "plan" a WDW vacation ever- less then 1 hour for all of us to get called and dates set up and off we go !

It's great!

Last summer my Dad had cancer and major reconstructive surgery to remove his bladder and make a new bladder out of intestines- he almost died- I didn't think I would ever be going to WDW again with him.

When I delivered our baby, the docs thought he was going to have trisomy 18 but he is perfectly normal and the docs found growths on one of my ovaries at delivery ( C-section ) but the biopsey came back benign AND- this is my youngest one's first trip to the world- it's going to be fun- all good reasons to get away and have some fun!

DH and I are keeping this trip a secret from the older boys and the little one can't talk so we're safe there! We are picking them up from school unannounced ( something we never do- they have perfect attendance most years ) and just getting in the van and driving south- boy are they going to be perplexed! We always take a week long vacation when at WDW- this will be a shorter trip but fun none the less-- this year our school system decided to add an extra day off for labor day so off we go-

One of us had always had to pay for some house or car repair or it was just too difficult getting schedules to line up. I heard about this package, emailed her on Friday (thinking that she'd hate the idea of WDW), got a positive response and had it all booked over the weekend.

So yeah, we spent money unexpectedly, but we *finally* have a vacation together for less than we'd been hoping to spend. Nothing wrong there. <grin>

How cute is that? Your boys are so lucky to have such an awesome Mom! My parents surprised us with a WDW trip too, I can still remember how and when they did it and that was 14 years ago!! I hope you guys have a great trip!
