2 Parks in 2 days.
I thought this info would come in handy for those parents planning trips to these parks during school holidays.
Cast: Me - Mummy, DH, DD5
and DD2.5
We went to Legoland on Thursday 10/4 and Chesington on Friday 11/4.....
Nowhere near as polished and professional as Disneyworld but we had fun and didn't have to travel too far to get there.
Day 1 Legoland.
We leave home at 8am and we get there on opening at 10am. I found a 1/2 price voucher on raring2go.co.uk so we get in for £54 as we don't have to pay for youngest DD.
We get on the land train and go straight to the new viking river splash water ride which DH and DD5 go on, little 'un and I go on spinning spider. Next we all go on Dragon's apprentice which gets the thumbs up.
After a snack break DD5 and I go on Pirate Falls and DH and DD2 hangs around to watch us come down (DH is facinated as Andre Shevchenko is at Legoland with his family!).
After a queue of 20mins (with only three in front of me) for lunch we head to toyland and the girls go on the usual flying chairs, the carousel etc.
We walk through to digger challenge then it's on to the wave surfer's - the queue for this is always so long so we decide to try for Jungle Coaster for DH and DD5 instead. They start queing whilst DD2 and I go on the pre-schoolers Dino Safari. They ended up queing for and hour for Jungle Coaster which DH said was good and quite scary.
After the Dino Dipper (hub and spoke) we head around to the traffic area.
DD5 does L drivers and then we all queue for the helicopters. DD2.5 is refused entry although she has made it on to everything else that was .9m
After a play in the playground and a go on the little train and fairytale brook it's off to miniland.
We then head up for the spellbreaker 4d movie then it's on the Skyride before heading for home.
We have Dinner at Frankie and Benny's near home, then it's bed before Chesington tomorrow.
Overall Legoland gets the thumbs up from my family with children in our's age ranges. We didn't do everything but we did most things that suited their age range. I'm glad we took a packed lunch (we intended to have dinner in the park before coming home) as the food was nothing special and was very expensive (more so than usual). Merchandise at Legoland is always pricey but I'm lucky as the girls don't really go for the shops yet. With our voucher and taking a packed lunch we spent about £65 at Legoland.
