Does any adult here sleep in the pull down bed in a BWV studio? I want to host three friends next December. I’m OK with getting the pool/garden view at 11 months, but I am hoping between the sofa bed in the studio and that pull down in the cabinet, that one will be comfortable. My sister and I share the king, and we really would prefer the living room to be free.

Not having dedicated two bedrooms at BWV, has always bothered me.

I have slept in the pull down at VGF, not sure if they are the same size, but I would think so. I would gladly stay in one again if that was my only option. Is there any way you can get the measurements and compare it to VGF. I'm 5'5" and not skinny :)

I am confused. You, your sister plus 3 other adults? Or just 4 of you? And what living room in a studio? Do you mean 1BR? The 1BR doesn't have a pull down TV bed. Or is it a 2BR you got and you want to only use the studio for your friends....ah, that's what you mean. So, my 5'9" twin DDs aged 20 have recently slept in the flip down and like it. Their friend also did at BCV at age 18 and she too is about 5'9" (softball teammates).

My 6'1", 190 pound brother in law spent a night on the Murphy bed in a BCV studio last March. He said it worked fine for him, but it was also sleep there or share the bed with his adult cousin, so it may be all relative.

Yes, I slept in it recently and thought it was very comfortable. I’m 5’6” and have a very sensitive back when it comes to mattresses but this one was good. I prefer firmer mattresses though and this one definitely was not super soft so if that’s what you prefer, you probably will not enjoy it.

Sorry for confusion...
BWV, 2 bedroom, 4 of us. Two will sleep in the studio side, and I want to mention to the friend that will not be on the Queen what her options are. I other friend has RA and must have the real bed.

Thank everyone for feedback. I will show my friend these comments. I think she will be fine. We four stayed in dedicated at BCV on our last stay. One gal has not experienced December at WD yet.

Just my opinion, but as long as the person on the sofa bed doesn't have to share it with someone else, she should be fine. If she doesn't like the sleep sofa, she can always try the Murphy or just sleep on the sofa without opening it.

Sounds like a fun trip! Have fun (and I think it's awesome to have the living area & kitchen free).

I have slept in the BWV murphy and it is just fine. Im 5’11 and not small.

Thank you!
I just have to learn when my friend can take off next December and wait for 11 month window!

I have slept on several of the pull down beds in the dvc studios. All have been fine. Not extremely comfortable because it is a very thin mattress lying on a wooden platform :)

My husband just spent 4 nights on the pull down murphy bed at BCV and he was very comfortable at just shy of 6'. He was having back issues and the queen was too soft for him, but the murphy was perfect. He said it was significantly more comfortable than when we brought my mom and we were on the pull out sofa bed.
