It’s Always Sunny in California!..Eh?...L’il Bit!

Jen, I am behind, again with Mark's surgery and Easter and the kids visiting. Please forgive me.

I looked at all the updates.

Let me just say how excited I am to be going to Disneyland next year (God willing) after seeing all of your wonderful pictures.

The picture of the castle is especially beautiful.

And I loved the tour of the hotel and the park thus far.

LOL, watching Jen get off the rides was even more entertaining than it sounds! :rotfl2:

And I did tell her to be careful every time we exited ;):lmao:

Oh and thanks for blurring that pic...but I look a little goofy in all my photos

I love Radiator Springs Racers and I am glad that I am not the only one that things that this is better than Test Track. I have done this twice using the Single Rider Line and that was very manageable. I so hear you about having trouble getting off rides. I have the same issue. Of course, knowing this, I get very wound up about this and the tension makes things worth.

Woohoo for a ride on RSR!! I agree - super fun ride! Just a beautiful scene too!

:rotfl: at your story about tripping getting off the ride - some of them are just so hard to get out of!

It is such a fun ride. One of my new favorites for sure! I always have issues getting out, my feet are too big, my rear too wide. :rotfl2:

Isn't it a great ride???? I loved it and can't wait to go back. Now I could do without the ride being down as much as it was and the mad rush but I will do it all over again. :goodvibes

It sure is!!!
It didn't seem to be down too much while we were there, which was good. the lines get crazy for it.

I hope Mark is recovering without giving you too much trouble. I know how men can be. Right now Skip is sick, well has been since we've been home from Florida. I have the same thing...sinus...but he is sure he is dying. He got a 2nd set of antibiotics now and he even insisted they take an x-ray to see if he has pneumonia. That was 2 days ago and he is going nuts because they haven't called with the results. I told him if it was bad they would've called....and he just gets silent...because he wants to be sick I guess? :confused3

Disneyland is very different, yet so similiar in some things. It's really hard to explain. But I am sure you will have a great time. I really hope we go next year as a family. I missed so many things...even though we did a lot, and there are so many things I want to repeat!

That one you didn't have a cool pose in and though we both looked pretty goofy, I can put it of me on there because everyone already knows I look goofy! :rotfl2: And if I kept all my goofy pictures off, well no one would know what I look like! One of these days I will learn to exit a ride with grace! :lmao:

We did the single rider line a few times too. Much more managable. I am hoping Claire will be brave enough in the future to do it so we can conquer more things. While at WDW I offered her that option and she told me she was too little to do it yet. :rotfl:

We then walked over the Luigi’s flying tires. We passed this on the way….isn’t it so cute.

The queue was super cute, but we whizzed through most of it.

We only had to wait a short time so I took a few pictures of the people on it before us.

How cute are these bushes?

Once we got on we did a lot of laughing. We were not very good at controlling it and we would lean one way then the other but not always at the same time. It was a good fun ride, but not something either of us felt the need to do over and over.

We next made our way over to Radiator Springs Racers again. We decided to try the single rider line this time.
I clicked this quickly as we walked by.

The single rider line was completely empty. Those in standby still had a very long wait though.

The ride was basically walk on for us. No one in front of us and we were soon called to join a car…with both of us being in the same car, Cass in the front and me in the back in the same spot I was last time.

Cass took this picture of me. It was a typical look I had….on my phone posting to facebook, texting or messaging friends, or checking emails. LOL

This time around I took pictures with my phone.

Waiting to get our seatbelts checked.

Cruising around

Back inside.

Someone has been tractor tipping again.

Hippy!

Let’s race!

Another successful ride and this time we knew where they took the picture. I kept Cass in this one but if she hates it I will go back and blur her out….but really how can you hate it…she looks so “cool” in it. I am just laughing away like a dork.

I do want to note the kid next to me HATED the ride and was not happy about how fast we were going either.

I just love how that area is themed. Those trees are awesome.

I've seen pictures of Radiator Springs Racers before, but I don't think I've ever read what the ride really does. Can you explain?

I'm hoping to utilize the single rider line for the first time ever when we go next month. I think we will have to try to ride together the first time so DS8 will know what to expect and after that use SR if he's cool with it. It just sounds like the best way to go with RSR!:)

The Racers look like SO much fun! Now I really want to take my nephews, who are huge Cars/Cars 2 fans. :)

Love your RSR photos! My sister and I waiting in the line for the full 120 minutes last labor day. I NEVER do that, but we were very glad we did despite the extreme heat we were dealing with that day. Some kid kept spraying us with his fan and his mom kept apologizing and the two of us were all it is quite alright! Unfortunately I skipped it my last trip out there.

backing up a bit, I enjoyed your resort photos. That flower looks like a hummingbird! I keep thinking that is what you took a photo of each time i see it! I have a soft spot for the DLH. I just love all its decor. I can never get over how big it actually is as it doesn't look that big from the outside. I stayed before the renovation and just HAD to stay again after the renovation.

Catching up here, Jen! I love all the photos of details AND your ride photos! :thumbsup2

Parts of Cars land looks a lot like the cars area at DLRP - it's missing the cool ride though. ;)
Love that you got to ride it twice and that single rider was a walk on! :goodvibes Oh, and count me in on those who have issues with getting out of rides. :rotfl2:

Hahahahah, I love this pic of you!!! It really shows how much fun you were having! :thumbsup2

BTW, you don't look nearly as goofy as you think you do! ;)

Kira would be the same as that little boy next to you :rolleyes2 ::yes:: :lmao:

I loved Luigi's Flying Tires, but the line was very long when I was there so I only got to do it once. I loved all the detail in the line though and this made time pass a lot quicker.

Carsland looks amazing! It would be awesome if they bring this to HS someday. Enjoying your report!!

I hear they now are NOT going to....but of course anything can change.

Let's see if I can describe it. You start out going slowly outsound with a few turns (nothing wild very slow) and then you go inside and it's themed with cars scenes and characters...again very slow and mild and then you get ready to race and you line up with another car and you head outside and go pretty fast and over several little bunny hills that do tickle the tummy and then back inside for a little bit to end the ride and then you unload. It really is so nicely themed and fun. I bet you can find it on youtube.

I wish Claire would be brave enough to try the single rider lines. Maybe next year she will feel "big enough" to do so. I asked her if she wanted to try it at WDW and she told me she was too little yet. :confused3

Carnival wish it was Disney but can't beat Carnival's prices for a 15 day cruise

Hey, it's a cruise...and 15 days of no cooking!!!! :thumbsup2
And to Hawaii on top of that!!!

The Racers look like SO much fun! Now I really want to take my nephews, who are huge Cars/Cars 2 fans. :)

It really is fun. I know Claire will love it.

must do the single rider line. It can get long too but still much shorter.
I really do love that resort. It is so much bigger than it seems too.

I do better getting in and out when I am thinner....but not much. :lmao:

It's probably the "coolest" I look the whole trip. :rotfl2: I always take bad ride photos.
Claire has gotten really brave this year. some the things she rode on this last trip blew me away!!!!

I loved Luigi's Flying Tires, but the line was very long when I was there so I only got to do it once. I loved all the detail in the line though and this made time pass a lot quicker.

Corinna

We never rode it again, so I don't know how bad it got, but when we rode it was still early entry and I think most of the people were in line for RSR.

Great pictures on the Cars ride. It really looks like a fun ride.

One things for sure - I am going to have to reread this whole TR before I finally make it to DL next year.

The Radiator Springs ride looks really cool! Glad you had fun!

I just have to comment though on the whole picture-taking-showing-your-drivers-license thing to get into the park. That sounds awful to me! I know the finger scan gets a lot of criticism at WDW but it doesn't bother me. I don't think I would like getting my picture taken and having to show my license.

Your resort photos are awesome!!
