First the cast of characters: Cammie (DW), Kayla (DD 14), Alexandra (DD 6), Julie (my mom), Brent (Me). This was all of our second trips except for my oldest daughter as it was her third.

We had a late flight from New Orleans, LA (weren’t scheduled to leave until 2:30 PM) and of course the flight was then delayed (bad weather in Orlando). We did get there about 45 minutes late or so. We ended up at our resort, the Polynesian, at about 7PM or so. Check in was a breeze (we did online check in). We went to our room which was in Tahiti on the ground floor garden view (which is exactly what we requested).

We then went to Captain Cook’s to grab a quick bite. We then headed over to the Boardwalk for a stroll around. It was quite cold that night so this wasn’t all that fun and most things looked to be closed or were about to close by the time we got there. We did go into some of the resorts to look at some of the decorations (and get out of the cold).

This was about it for day 1. Time for bed as we have an early day to get to Animal Kingdom for rope drop!

Day 2

We got up pretty early as we wanted to be at Animal Kingdom for rope drop. Walked over to the TTC (as we were in the Tahiti longhouse which is right next to the TTC) and took the bus over to Animal Kingdom.

Now this was the second trip for most of us and on our last trip I would say this was probably our least favorite park. Now I can say that it certainly DID move up a little in our opinion although I don’t know if it moved out of last place. First I ran over to Expedition Everest for a fastpass (just one as I was the only one who wanted to ride). We did the normal big ticket items (safari, Finding Nemo, Festival of the Lion King, Tough to be a Bug, the safari trails, and saw Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade).

Ate lunch at Pizzafari. The plan was for me to ride Expedition Everest on the way out of the park with the fastpass I got in the morning, but I wasn't feeling to well so I just had to skip it. A great thing that day was Finding Nemo Musical! This was our first time seeing it as it was closed on our last trip. It was really good! So basically a normal day at Animal Kingdom.

After getting back to the Poly we decided to ride the monorail over to the Grand Floridian to check out the Ginger Bread house and other deocorations. I have to say that was probably the best smelling hotel lobby I have ever been in!!:)

After this everyone was pretty beat so they all went to bed, but I had other plans. This was a MVMCP night and I wanted to watch the fireworks from the beach. I have to say the beach at the Poly is an absolutely great place to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks. You can actually see more of them than in the park and you don't have to fight the crowds to get out!

Well that is the end of Day 2.....stay tuned for Day 3 (Hollywood Studios).

Great start so far. I have been trying to get into the Polynesian. The food there is our absolute favorite.

Day 3

Another early morning today (I committed to making rope drop as much as possible). Again we walked over to the TTC to catch the bus this time to Hollywood Studios. On our last trip the studios turned out to be one of our most favorite parks so we were quite looking forward to this day. The weather was pretty good which was nice. I went straight away to Toy Story Mania for fastpasses while everyone else waited for me. They ended up running into some characters so they took pics and got autographs and such.

We did all the rides and shows and enjoyed it a great deal until it was time to use our fastpasses for Toy Story. This was our first time to ride it. We all absolutely loved it! Now the last night of this trip we were going to be attending the DIS event Disapalooza where we would be able to ride Toy Story as much as we wanted! So now having ridden the ride for the first time we were even more excited (if that is possible!) fore the party!

I can’t remember the name of the place(s) that we ate lunch but it was in the group of counter service places near Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster. We all just kinda went to the places that we saw something that interested us. After lunch I went for fastpasses for Tower of Terror. We then just kinda took it easy the rest of the day and basically just went to the different shows (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, Indiana Jones, the car stunt show). To end the day we saw the Osbourne Lights and then got in line for one more ride on Toy Story Mania.

We then headed back to the Poly and again ate at Captain Cook’s. This was a very long day with no break really although we did just kind of hang out and took it very slowly in the park we were all very tired so it was time for bed! Tomorrow is our first time to go to Magic Kingdom on this trip!!!
