Been gathering info for my first trip. UT recomends going to DCA as your first park if you are hopping. Would it be advantageous to do this. Have 3 days (2DL, 1DCA). Right now i have chosen to do the non early entry park first. Any thoughts. Thx
I presume you're staying offsite, since you're trying to avoid the Early Entry park? From what I've read on this forum (those with recent experience please chime in), it doesn't make a lot of difference.
If you've never been to the Disneyland Resort, I strongly recommend starting with the original park. I can't imagine being a Disney fan and waiting to see Walt's park!
I agree. Not sure why they would recommend that. By 11 am, the Disneyland starts to get crowded. It would be a bummer to spend the morning in DCA and then hop into the crowds at 11 am.

We went in January and stayed off-site. We started at whatever park best suited our plans and didn't worry about the EE. From my perspective, going to the park with EE that morning wasn't a big deal.
Definitely started with DL for 2 days and 1 day in CA.
As you first visit start in DL without question. There is a bit of strategy to that recommendation as a LOT of people tend to start in DL then make their way to DCA later but as your first visit enter DL as your first park experience.
