Hi
I have a Canon Power shot sx 130. I love this camera...but it sucks the life out of the batteries. I don't want to carry a ton of batteries on vacation with me but I don't want to be without my camera either.
So my questions: is this normal? Are there any batteries out there that will last more than a day or two in my camera? I was told to get some rechargables..does this really help? What brand is best? Are they all the same?
Thanks for any and all input!

While you say you love the camera, I don't. I took 3 cameras with me, along with LOTS of batteries on our Spring Break trip and used my Canon 130 the least. I also have trouble with action and low light shots. In comparing my shots, my oldest camera, a Canon Power Shot A 590 was by far the best. I've tried rechargeables, ultimate lithiums, regular cheap AA's and they're all about the same. I use my flash occasionally but do zoom a lot. I found carrying 2 cameras and/or 2 sets extra batteries the only solution.
