Issue with GAP at Universal

Another idea is to stay in one of the Universal Hotels where your room key gives you Front of the Line (like Fast Passes) to all rides all day. You never wait more than about 10-15 minutes in line.

i know this may sound silly, but i have only recently had to give into my mobility issues a little more and don't really understand about these GAP and GAC. Do i need to get one for each park or will the fact that i have an ECV suffice. Or are they more for children with disabilities?

If you haven't already, check into the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board. One of the sections is about Guest Assistance Cards (GACs).
That should answer all your questions about GACs at WDW.
If you get a GAC at Guest Services in one of the WDW parks, it will be good in the other WDW Theme Parks.
If you go to Universal or Sea World, you would need to go to Guest Services at that park to request a GAP. (I guess they call theirs Guest Assistance Passes).

Whether or not you need a GAC or GAP with an ECV depends on what your needs are. If all you need is to have an accessible entrance/place in a show, then you don't need anything besides the ECV. The CMs can see what you need and will direct you there.
If you have additional needs, like a quieter spot to wait or a place out of the sun, then you would need a GAC/GAP. So, they are more for needs that are not visible to the CMs.

They are not just for children, but a lot of children have invisible needs that would benefit from a GAC/GAP.
