Issue booking room with 3 adults?

So I am planning a quick trip to WDW on Dec 2-6. Originally it was going to be myself, my father and my son (7) and it showed POR - Riverside as an option. Now my brother might want to go as well but when I put in 3 adults, 1 child it will no longer show me POR as an option even with the additional fee for another adult. Should I just book 2 adults and then add him later?

Also considering AKL (standard room) for the 4 of us. Would that be a better option as far as space?

I was just able to price out 3 adults and 1 child at POR for your dates. The website is SO wonky. You may want to call. Or just book with 2 adults, 1 child and call to add your brother.

The AKL rooms are 344 sq. ft. and the POR rooms are 314 sq. ft. You could consider booking a preferred room at POR to get the pull-down bed for your son. Or even consider a family suite at AoA if you would like more space.

Thank you. It wasn't showing it on my iPad but went to my desktop and it shows up. So glitchy.

Thank you for the recommendation. We plan on staying at AoA in December 2019 for a bigger trip. I don't think we will be in the room much this trip, so it will be between AKL and POR. I will see if my brother winds up coming and go from there. Thank you!

I think the biggest difference will be if you want a balcony. It's nice to have for morning coffee if, for example, I get up earlier than everyone else (which is always the case). I can sit outside and not wake anyone. Also interior corridors may make a difference.

I’m not sure AKL would have noticeably more useable space unless it’s a bunk bed room.

The disadvantage of hotels with interior hallways with a balcony is the room must have it’s own internal “hallway” next to the bathroom. Most of the extra sqft in AKL just lets you walk past your bathroom.

At POR, the bathroom can take up the entire width of the back of the room.

AKL is an amazing resort, and the impressive lobby with the huge Christmas tree is an amazing sight. I recommend AKL if you are planing to spend day time at the resort and dine.

But POR is a great place to crash at night, has the nice boat ride to Disney Springs, and has a good court (although Mara’s selection at AKL is one of the better Deluxe options)

Thanks everyone! We had a last minute change, my brother is out but my stepmom is in so we went with AKL!

It will be one of my only chances to stay at a deluxe and since we are doing such a quick trip it’s a great option for us.

Plus I want to see the Christmas decorations there! Thank you all for the tips.
