I am a broadband user and as such will have no local node to connect to while in the US.

Does anyone have an experience with getting an ISP for florida?

I had thought to sign up with AOL's free trial but if I remeber corectly a few years ago i was unable to get online with AOL's Kisime node and had to use the national number which was premium rate charge.

The though of being without net access is not good.

For our recent visit to California we used the wireless access provided by Starbucks and by the hotels we stayed in. This was great, especially if you are used to broadband speed! Details can be found at Starbucks and Boingo. We set up a Hotmail account for our holiday, and forwarded email from our home accounts to Hotmail ensuring we didn't miss a message.

If you are staying at a hotel or will visit a Starbucks from time to time this maybe a solution for you.

Regards

Rob
