Hi! I know this is a year out, but maybe someone here has just done something similar this year:
Trip planned for Nov 2022, with 3 groups/families totaling 9 people:
-Me, Wife, 2 daughters (14,10)
-Brother, his wife, my niece (5)
-My mom (64), my other brother
Our main goal is a Thanksgiving Day meal at Liberty Tree Tavern, its the ultimate in our minds but I know it will be tough to get. I setup 2 alerts on the TP reservation finder this year about a month or just to test it out and never got a single alert, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. That day will be at about 60+4 when my ADR window opens. We already have MK park reservations! How best to maximize my chances of getting that LTT reservation when the time comes?
-Time of day doesn't matter to us. I'll plan to search specific times and not "lunch" or "dinner"
-Is trying for a group of 9 pointless? Willing to split into 2 reservations of 5/4 or maybe even 6/3 if necessary
-Anyone have luck with a 3rd-party reservation finder for an in-demand restaurant for Thanksgiving this year? I used the TP tool with great success in 2018
We've never been to WDW this time of year, typically only during the summer and haven't been since 2018 so still digesting the post-covid changes. I'm mentally prepared for the fact that Thanksgiving week is a different beast, so looking to use the next year to prep/plan as best I can. I'm also mentally prepared for the fact that the rules/procedures could change.
