Now what about cheesecake? I feel it gets no representation here due to the fact that it's neither pie nor cake ...I understand it has cake in the name but it's often made with crust, and cake does not have crust....

Yes - loads of them - mince pies, steak pies,chicken pies and even macaroni pies but they dont sound as nice as banana creme pie and pumpkin pie
