I just spent several hours today trying to price CDs between Abundatrade.com and secondspin.com. Here is current info for anyone who wants to do this:
- it's well worth entering the info into both sites. abundatrade paid MUCH higher for some CDs, and secondspin paid MUCH higher for others! I'm sending cds for both sites. (abundatrade is MUCH easier to use, in general, but secondspin paid more for the majority of my cds.)
- abundatrade will pay for your shipping (not reimburse -- they'll pay for the initial cost) if you have 1) no cds paying 5 cents or less; 2) more than $50 worth in one order; and 3) only cds, no DVDs or books in this order. secondspin will reimburse your shipping.
- secondspin will accept cds from cd clubs (BMG or MCA); abundatrade will not. To find the offer price on the club cds, use the "UPC" entry method and look for a number that starts with "d" or "MCAD" and enter that, including the d or the mcad. Don't try to guess which version you have. I also had a huge stack of cds that I could not locate by UPC on abundatrade that I found on secondspin.
I've cleared out about 1/3 of my DH's collection (with his permission, of course

), and will get about $220! Not bad for about 5 hours work.
