Isn't there a car rental place close to DTD or on site somewhere?

We are thinking of renting a car for a day trip to Universal ..depending on price and all. It might be cheaper to hire a car service to take us there and back. Thanks!!

Most of the major rental car companies have rental locations either at Disney resorts or DTD hotels.
Check with the different companies for their locations. Most will provide pickup and drop off service.
ex. Alamo/National have locations at the Dolphin hotel and the Car Care Center and Hertz at SOG.

In addition, Budget is at the Doubletree, Avis is at the Hilton, and Dollar is at the Buena Vista Palace - all across from Downtown Disney.

Apparently Hertz is closed at SOG now.
