I like to use random titles.
Anyways.
I realized the other day, on the way to Woodstock, that 95% of the songs on my MP3 player are sung by guys. I came to the realization, that I cannot stand female singers. I just can't. They're either degrading people like Fergie or annoying people like Alanis Morressette (I butchered that name) . Men are easier to listen to, don't hurt my ears and ... I'm not sure.

I'm a sucker for a good voice. I love male singers, but I like female ones too. There are some great chick singers out there. Christina Agulera(Sp) is a fantastic singer. Shakira is great too. Those are the main female "pop" singers out right now. Amy Lee has a nice voice too. If you listen to some semi older stuff, Kittie and TATU deserve some attention. The Veronicas are trying to break ground in america right now. They've got a unique sound.

Overall there are some great female singers out there right now.

Out of the 745 songs on my ipod i ahve no idea if its more female or male oriented.
I just downloaded about 18 new songs 7 are female the rest are male. IDK why...hmm I guess I never thought of it before.

Amy Lee is past her heyday, but some of her older stuff is pretty good. I think she should go solo. She could go so much further than she is right now.

Shakira has a different taste than most performers today.

Christina is an acquired taste.

i think male singers are more popular than female because i feel female singers try to be people they arent so its screws up their song, image, and name. but hey, thats what i think!

Mine is about even. I love to hear Kellie Pickler and Martina McBride sing. They sound like angels in my opinion. But on that same not, Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney have some of the best voices I've ever heard.

I have mostly male artists on my playlist too..
Some female singers have amazing voices, but I dislike the lyrics they write.
